I, too, approve of this idea. Methinks it would be worth both an ACTION and a SUAVE point if we didn't have to burn them to activate it.

the flash thing is being incredibly slow for me. anyone else getting this?
It's probably just taking a while to load. Unfortunately I can't embed flash movies into the forum, so I have to use .gifs, which can't have any sort of pre-loader. Once it's loaded all the way through once, it should play faster once it starts looping, however.

yeah thats usually the case, and i did wait for it to finish a few times but its still slow. ATM it only goes at propper speed if i scroll down so much that only the bottum inch of the image is actually on the screen. ahh well, i get the gist of it. she flys, spends a point of action and suave, smiles, detonates an explosive, he blows up, she cloaks as she flys into level zero.

That's too bad to hear. Do you have the same problem with the rest of the .gif updates, or just this one? Do the flash updates work better for you? I've been thinking of, instead of using .gifs all the time, using flash updates more often, since they are many times smaller than the .gifs, but since I can't embed them I have to link to them with a picture, which breaks up the flow.
What do you guys think? Is it not a big deal to have to wait for the .gif to load, or would you rather see .swfs such as the "> ROCKET: Fondly regard crustaceans." update?
Of course the best solution to all of this would simply be to host GenGame on my own webspace, but me and domo haven't decided yet whether we will be doing that, since it comes with it's own problems. (such as whether we would have our own forum, continue to use this thread and just link to each new update, or something else)

All the others have worked fine, its just this one that’s kind of odd. But like I said, I caught what’s going on in it, so really its no big deal.
i for one don’t mind the .gif's though if you ever intend to add music or something to them then you might want to go with flash animations so the two synch up properly.
If you really want to host this on another website, you could just host updates that have already been put up on an alternate website, and keep this thread an its decedents open for fresh updates and new commands. That way we have a library for old updates so people don’t need to go digging around looking for old threads, and you don’t need to worry about hosting your own message board since all the commands and newest updates will remain in this one. And once the whole story is over we can just go to the website whenever we want to read it again.
