Harry Potter: The Battle Against Voldemort (WW) - GAME OVER!
A Harry Potter Werewolf Game. Please read all the spoilers.
NOTE: All roles marked with an asterisk will only be added if we have enough people.
TEAM GOOD

The Teachers
If scried, teachers appear as Hogwartians, with the exception of McGonagall, who appears as Animal.
Albus Dumbledore - Baner - The Headmaster of Hogwarts. Once per night phase, Dumbledore may choose a person to protect from harm. They PM the name of this person to the narrator. Protection includes scries and kills.
*Minerva McGonagall - Spy - The Transfiguration teacher of Hogwarts, Professor McGonagall is also an Animagus. If scried, she is seen as an Animal. Once per night phase, she can PM a name to the Narrator. If that player uses an action against another during the night, McGonagall learns which
player was targeted.
Severus Snape - Seer - The Potions teacher of Hogwarts, Snape is also a master of Legilimency. Once per night phase, Snape may PM the name of a player to the narrator. He will learn the role of this player.
Sybill Trelawney - Fool - The Divination teacher of Hogwarts. Although she claims she has Seer blood, her results are largely inacurrate. She is told she is the Seer, but when she scries, she is given an inaccurate result. If she scries Snape, she will see the Fool.
The Students
If scried, students appear as Hogwartians.
Harry Potter - The Boy Who Lived - Famous for surviving Lord Voldermort's wrath. If targeted by a night kill, it will automatically be deflected onto either of the Loving Parents. If both are dead, he will die.
*Hermione Granger & *Ron Weasley - Friends - These two are both aware of who the other is, and the identity of Harry.
Normal Students - Villagers - These are normal people. They have no special powers. That is, unless they're....
Dumbledore's Army - Masons - The members of this group have deep bonds. Each starts the game knowing the rest of the DA.
The Marauders
If scried, the Marauders appear as Animals.
James (Prongs) & Lily Potter - Loving Parents - Harry's parents. If Harry is targeted during the night kill, one of them will take his place. Unless, of course, they're both dead.
*Sirius Black (Padfoot) & *Remus Lupin (Moony) - Hidden - Good friends of James and Lily. Apart from the fact they appear as animals, they are essentially villagers.
TEAM BAD

Death Eaters
If scried, they will appear as Death Eaters, with the exception of Pettigrew, who appears as Animal.
Lord Voldemort - Devil - The most evil wizard ever known. He is, in effect, the Seer for the Bad Side.
Death Eaters - Wolves - The followers of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. They start the game knowing every other wolf (but not the devil). Once per night phase, they agree on a victim, and one of them must PM the victim's name to the narrator. That victim will die.
*Peter Pettigrew (Wormtail) - Undercover (Alpha-like) - A cowardly Death Eater, who betrayed James and Lily. He is counted as a Death Eater, save for the fact he is scried as Animal, unless by Voldemort. If he sends in the night kill and McGonagall targets him, there is a chance McGonagall will not learn of his victim.
*Lucius Malfoy - Spy - He is one of Voldemort's most feared followers. His contacts within the Ministry allow him to gain... unsavoury information. He counts as Death Eater, but during the night phase, he may target a player. If that player uses an action which targets another, he learns which player was targeted.
*Bellatrix Lestrange - Cloaker - She is Voldemort's right hand woman, known for causing chaos. Once per night phase, she PMs the name of a player and a role to the narrator. Any scries targeting that player will recieve the chosen role, instead of the actual one.
TEAM NEUTRAL

Animals
If scried, they will appear as Animals. Their object is to survive until the end of the game.
*Hedwig & *Crookshanks - Neutrals - They are essentially villagers, save for a different objective.
ADDITIONAL RULES

Helgraf's Scry Interference Rule - Under Helgraf’s Scry Interference Rule, any attempt by multiple scryers (Seer, Fool, Devil, etc.) to scry the same target on the same night will result in ‘interference’, i.e. no result.
PM Limitation Rule - Team Good and Team Neutral are not allowed to PM each other, save for Masons, who may PM each other all the time. Death Eaters (including Wormtail) may PM each other, but only during the night phase.
Autolynching - If you do not vote for two days in a row, you will be booted out of the game, unless you warn me beforehand.

I'm interested, but you have too many roles (in my opinion). 16 different roles, assuming not multiple villagers/death eaters. In an average 20 person game, you will have 3 death eaters and 3 students. Not really enough.

I'll join, but I have a comment about the Animal roles...

Which intrigues me as to why. If I were Voldemort, and scrying people and they came up animal - I'd still kill them. Unless I found Peter, who will come up as Peter to my eyes only. So what's the point in hiding people under the "animal" ruse if it don't matter who Voldemort scries?
Just curious. I think McGonagall's other power is plenty cool. But to me the animal role is not that useful in hiding amongst the players.

I think the idea is that Snape doesn't find out Peter's a Death Eater when Peter gets scried. However there's so few possibilities for who it is that he may just get lynched anyway.

I won the WW Game Discworld I (Dei in Machina) by selling sausages ina bun to more than 50% of the surviving player, I showed myself as a cunning, greedy and worthy CMOT Dibbler and all I got is this lousy signature line.

Fair enough. Balance wise it gives the evil team some needed power, so that's good.
Other alternative roles you can through in for the bad guys...because if the game ends up having all of the roles then team good is kinda overpowered.
Bellatrix - Some form of kill power specific to parental roles. Like attempts a kill, but unless that person is a parent then the kill fails. Or can make a player scry as whomever she wants as part of her creating havoc.
Lucious Malfoy - Give hiim a power similar to McGonagall's for team evil. His intamcy with the ministry he learns things other would not know.
Draco Malfoy - Fool for team evil.
Remember - for balance, every role you give someone that deviates from "normal villager" role adds power to that team. Like for team good, it's a role team evil can't hide amongst or would attempt to claim.
Anyway - I'll stop trying to change the game. I'm looking forward to playing now.

No thanks, I'm already in 2 games. By the way, you might want to consider postponing this until there's a free spot in the WW schedule. There's way too many roles for less than 20 people, even with all the optional roles taken out.

GAME BEGIN!
It was a quiet day at Hogwarts. Well, relatively quiet. That is, not counting the explosion when Neville miscast a Switching Spell, the soup tsunami started by Peeves in the kitchens, and Professor Flitwick turning into a rabbit at breakfast.
But elsewhere, an evil stirred. Lord Voldemort plotted evil plans, whilst his Death Eaters ran around singing "Don't Stop Me Now".
There was a storm coming. The only person who forsaw this was Trelawney. Her tarot card showed a lightning-struck tower....
