that paladin does seem to have a veeery loose opinion on alignment. I mean they're bandits, not demons, why does he want to kill all of them?
We don't know how powerful these bandits are. They could be a pretty large number, or part of an organization. And the paladin will probably give most of them the chance to repent, like he did with the Orc.

I didn't think he killed the orc either, even after she refused the chance to surrender. Unlike the guy who Will stabbed, the orc didn't have x'ed-out eyes when last seen, just a "Hey, that hurt, you bastard!" expression.
I am disappointed by the lack of comments on that last comic.
As such I am updating with only a bonus. It's the first cast page I made for the characters that were made by the old comic's writer.

You require comments for comics now? You choppy Turtledove!

Anyway, the comic's good, the bonus' good, everything is blajibble!
Nevitan, Strip #8 was a good comic -- it revealed more of the personalities of both the characters involved, it cleared up a question from the previous strip, and it established a sense of scale for the cave they're exploring -- there just wasn't all that much that needed saying afterwards, though. Comics that raise mystery spawn lots of speculation, while comics that settle mysteries leave the audience saying, "Ah, so that's how it is."
Both kinds are good, but they won't provoke the same numbers of comments.
It's only been a little over a week, the quality is good enough to warrant that sort of update schedule, right?

Well I've uploaded the ninth comic and as a penance for the update gap here's a bonus.
Nice one! I am starting to really like this paladin. And I look forward to seeing what the bard has planned, if the paladin hasn't just beaten everyone up before she gets there...
What's this? A mere day between updates? Surely this offering is worthy of your comments.
For your viewing pleasure, please look to the first post for our 10th comic!
I like the scat-singing bard. It must drive her friends nuts that she gets to lounge around and play music while they fight, but they can't even chew her out for it because she's actually being perfectly effective at helping them...
Good for Joel. I was feeling sorry for that cleric already last strip...I think it was the way she had never even for one panel stopped making the (oo) expression. Didn't seem like her heart was in the fight.
Layala's puzzled/annoyed expression in the last frame is the first time I've ever seen her look surprised by anything. Usually (including the beginning of this strip) she's three moves ahead of Will, and calmly tolerates his greed because she's anticipated his actions and figured out how to make them work in her favor...
