But what does it matter? He gets money and the others get to save people, everybody is happy!
But he could be even happier if he took more money while the others would still have the same nice warm glow of knowing people are safe*, wich is priceless, hence woth much more than any money the rogue could take.** Hence why he's getting burned in the deal and feels rightfully outraged.
See, it's mathematical, you can't argue with that logic !
(Unless you are a paladin, that is. A paladin with a big scary hammer.)
*Albeit a litle poorer but what does it matter ? They just had not to be robbed in the first place, anyway.
**This argument is offered to you by Roguelogic (tm)

Ah, but that money was supposed to go to the victims/poor and give more of that warm glow that you just mentioned being worth far more than said money.
And that is one official update. Comic 15 is live!
And it's good.
I like it. The art is rather good and the humour is also good. Ergo it's good, above mediocre good but not yet into great territory, still early though.
I think I'll follow.

What? Everyone else are against the flow too, okay?

Well I'm glad it's got a good start.

Well those are supposed to be the feet, which start inside of the robe.

This one got me laughing, great, clever and insightful on the party mechanics.
One thing though, How was a Necromancer Wizard able to use Illusion?

Well, that should come up later but for now just assume that he didn't choose illusion as one of the schools he isn't allowed to study.
I remember something about opposite schools being unaccesible. And Necromancy and Illusion are opposed. But I can't remember if this sticks for 3.5, I can only verify for 2nd Edition.

Apparently Layala thought everything through, she must really have every little problem - involving the party sticking around indefinitely - covered, huh?
@^^ as for 3.5 school specialization, a specialist Wizard(Joel the Necromancer in this case,) can pick almost any 2 schools of magic he wanted back at lvl1.\ EXCEPT Divination, that's a rule for all wizards.
so, as far as we're concerned, he may have picked anything else,
let's see:
Abjr:uncertain; Cnjr:NO; Div: no; Ench:uncertain; ILsn: NO, obviouly; Tran:NO(Spider climb row 4); Evoc:debatable(lightning bolt here is from which caster?)
@V I ninja'd the ninjaman? that's almost Ironic...

Well it's a couple days late because I threw out the first script since it was so bad. I think this new one is one of my best yet. Comic seventeen is up for your viewing pleasure.

1. don't worry about a few days late... 90(+-)% of the time it's worth it.
2. you have many "best ones yet" (in chronological order, first page, even if one or two don't count), it's a good one, but I have a good feeling that the next few, as well as the last one are/will be better.
keep goin'!

The cameo of master thief Diablo Deathbringer is hilarious, and could not go by unappreciated.
Also, I feel as if your attention to what's important in illustration is growing more keen (although not necessarily with vorpal or icy burst qualities).
Was the second to last panel inspired by inception?
Mucho Bueno.
