Ongoing Games (In-Character)Play-by-post games are going on in this forum as we speak (well, read). All threads on this board are actual games, so please, only post on a thread if you are a player of that game.
Chion will wait patiently while doing a windmill kata out front to combat boredom. The whirling naginata will spin in his hand, twirling the blade in wide arcs from the ground up and then back down again. His grizzly bear cloak flapping behind him with his motions.
The younger shaman sighs, but he appears visibly relieved. Well, past water that is now, I guess. My thanks for your help, I say, venerable Aki. Can you anything else tell me about the Shiro Heiichi, I ask? Were there any traces of other creatures there, I ask, or something more you noticed about its guardians?
"Their minds were slippery, as was their presence. All I sensed was an enduring patience, and a sense of guardianship and watchfullness, and an anger at intruders."
I hope that they not overmuch frown on our mission, I do. Vrishma notes, quietly, before continuing. For your support I thank you, Aki, that I do. May the spirits keep you from harm, I hope, and may they will we see each other soon in health and happiness.
He holds the old shamaness' hand for a moment, then bows to rub his cheek to hers before rising.
((After she says anything, as she'll probably do)) he leaves the hut, seeking the humans.
Vyrus, we've spent a lot of time on this anyway, but could you PM/tell me what injured her like that?
))
The shaman sighs. Much the venerable Aki told me, indeed she did, but most we already know. Yet even if she hadn't, I say, she is my friend, mentor and elder. To leave her slinking in the darkness, without a word, I could not, indeed I say.
Apart from that, a strange thing she said, that she did. The guardians patient are, she said, and watchful - but angry they have become, as well. I suppose the creatures of darkness their anger provoked have, indeed I do, but they may not distinguish us from them. Still, I doubt we could sneak past them like a mist through the valleys, I do, and better may it be to try to appease them than challenge their might.
Vrishma shakes his head. Friendship and respect for our elders not just the ways of the shamans are, I think he tells Chion with a wink. I am ready, however, I am. Yet enemies might not be what we face, Chion, I think... Whatever else the guardians of the ruins are, battle have they not sought so far. Oh, where are Ikeira and Masumi, I ask? A few moments of woo our sage friend has secreted the lady for, perhaps?
"Battle they have not sought but the unicorn brings his horn. I ride with you Vrishma. Chion will look quickly around. "No, I think they are scouting, Right. Woo ?"
looking around one finds ikeira right where he was when the commotion started, though he is on the ground instead of standing up. closer inspection reveals he had sat down after no further enemy contact and then fell asleep while waiting for vrishma to finish. it might not be a good idea to wake him for anything less than an attack, after all you all know how surly he was for being woke up when there was an attack.
((Sorry for my lack of communication. First Giant went down as you all know, and now my PC appears to be dying. So for a little bit anyway, my contact will be limited, most likely.))
Vrishma, as far as you can tell, Aki just fought her way tooth and nail away from Shadowlands creatures and spent all her considerable energy getting back to camp without leaving signs of her presence. On top of it all, she was seriously wounded, so no wonder she is in bad shape.
((You'll be resting shortly. I imagine you'll all want to rest up afore confronting anything dangerous. Also, my PC is still dead. I haven't been able to keep track of things much but I'm tryin. I should be up and running by the end of this week))
(..I... Me too. I've had a pretty rough time and lately I forgot about this game but... Well, I feel like I not only feel obligated to see it through but I wanna continue)
