Now that I think about it, I techincally should let Rakken take a slight break, considering how high his level is compared to the average.

Yeah... We'll be experiencing a bit of a genre shift starting next map. See, I've gotten on a bit of a Castlevania kick so as of Map 8, the Crimson Shadow's ultimate goal is to resurect Dracula following his defeat at the hands of whichever Belmont I decide did it this time. You will be encountering many more undead and monsterous creatures who will be vulnerable to light magic and occasionally fire as well. Also, one character on each team is now a vampire and shares the same light vulnerability. I will be choosing at random, but I'm not telling you who it is =P

I only say she's Rock-type because she's good against Flying-types, and she's definitely not Electric-Type, as there's Lightning magic in the game.

I am currently suffering from severe emotional stress right now, so I'm going to be taking a 3-4 day break from the boards until I can put my life back together. Kat follows any plan that does not directly result in her getting killed by the enemies, and will not follow any plan that puts party members in harm unless there is no other way to not lose everyone.

I hear you there :)

On a different note: The ruleset that used to be located on the now-extinct recruitment thread. That may come in handy for a multitude of things, not the least of which being calculations for both SoF and DC. I understand that formatting that behemoth would have been a real pain... I guess shame on me for not thinking to make my own copy of the fundamental basics of my game that were residing in a zone marked temporary...

That and are there any tips on difficulty scaling I should know? *End bugging rant*

Yeah, here's one. Don't send enemies that are, say... multiple levels higher than the players with near perfect strength level ups to get rid of the level one thief.

And be careful if you plan to use fog of war maps.

NO! No fog of war! FAR too much work involved there. I was going to be using what Summoner said he uses, which is having the minimum bases and growths. I think that's what he said...

Maybe I'll just make it so that the first map is a tester. It's already split into two areas, so just have the first lot weaker and see how that pans out. Lvl 2 enemies straight off the bat not too horrid?

As for my thought process right now, I'm picking out themes for different things. Homestuck music is actually very good for it, especially vol 5. The tracks tend to evolve around the same tunes, so I've got plenty of standard -> boss progressions.

I don't do minimum growths, I do about average, and bosses always get above average with maximum HP growth regardless of the fact that their total growth exceeds that of a player. Minimum was too easy since they were already weaker levelwise than any actual PC.

Oh, and I'm putting the rules back up... 1 second.

Edit: Heres a link to the rules post.

Atrec, theres one post by you between the first post I edited to include the rules and the second (the rules are too long to fit in a single post because of character limit). Its not a big deal, but if you could delete that post so the two rules posts would be one after the other, I would appreciate it.

Well, you see... The overall plot of this game is divided into arcs, which I dubbed "terms." You're about halfway through the first term, so there will be an upcoming "midterm" encounter soon. One much more difficult than anything you've faced yet.
