No segmentation: As seen with Naal when she was losing control before actually succumbing and with Kha'less while she was passing for a Ver'drowendar, this is the level of seperation for those where the seed has the clear upper hand. Nothing but the white and the pupil here.
Single segmentation: The naturally red pupil is seperated from the red eye coloring normal for tainted. This is the standard pattern of Ver'drowendar.
Multiple segmentation: Multiple rings of eye color, so far seen exclusively in Kiel.

I think it is poison (mana related?). Kiel hadn't show any negative side effects until she ate the cake. As for Kharla going on a killing spree, she might. But if she does I think it will be directed at a specific target. I would say I feel sorry for whoeve it might be, but they tried to kill a kid (who actually has something resembling a sense of right and wrong!) so I don't feel sorry for the %$*%#! at all.
And it is poison that's making her miserable! Have a cookie HandofShadows. Poor Kiel....please tell me they aren't killing off ALL of Team Tainted.
Ok I can do that. Kiel can't die, yet. Otherwise the plot would have been all for nothing. I mean why follow a character for so long that she would die pointlessly? Maybe Chrystel has now her chance to shine by rescuing Kiel? Chrystel also can't die for the same reason.
Naal was different because we were constantly reminded that she had only little time left.

There I have to disagree. At least drowtales is not a killfest of characters. Who (important) died actually? Fuzzy, Syphile and Naal are noteable deaths in 28 chapters, so far. Mir'kiin, Jerk(h)ole, Sene'kha, Rikshakar and Kess'sen don't count because nobody liked them, anyway.
Now when , after the timeskip, the Sarghress – Sharen war breaks out, things will get really ugly I belive, but we have some time left until we see that.

Maya lost most of her characterization in the most recent re-write. Do we even learn her name this time? I'm not sure she can really count as a major character anymore. I mean, I liked her, but when I first read the comic we actually learned quite a bit about her before she died.
Well, Kiel shall surive. And the one helping her is a bit of a surprise to most everyone. For me though, I half expected it somehow. Kharla has shown herself to care of Kiel a great deal and that she has more on the ball than we thought. (Now if she would turn Kiel's mom back into a person it would be great. But I wonder if someone else will need to help with that. Someone than knows how to seperate auras from their bodies safely).

I wonder what will Nyo'ka do now, when Kiel is being healed? I did already guess a while back that she is in reality one of Snadhya's Nidraa'chal agents inside the Vloz.
I guess I find many characters intriguing to be able to remember them, but I have to admit, I use the Comic or Drowwiki frequently to check if I write the names correctly. I remember faces better than names, anyway.
I can remember the most importaint characters, I just can't remember their names. That's why I called Yafein "Nerd-boy". Larvova is "Stichy" and so forth.
Anyway, looks like Kiel will live...for now.

I tend to forget the characters that aren't core protagonists in that story. I don't have this problem in other webcomics I follow though. I guess here they just all look the same to me.

There are two choices that I see. Run like hell and hope Kharla is to busy to follow. Or die a horrible lingering death. Unlike Kharla's turning people into dolls, which is really not done with true malice do to her mental condition, Kharla is actively very angry right now. What she will/can do with her power to deliberatly hurt/kill someone is an unknown (or at least I don't know it).
