As to the questions: Yeah, most everything is fine. Free levels are nice, and the combat caster build I have wouldn't really be possible at all without it. I do have some non-combat skills like Intimidate and Appraise with charisma, so wouldn't be opposed against non-combat encounter. Traps tend to just slow things down though.
More seriously, I'm enjoying the game so far. I'm also looking forward to getting some items, I'm kinda unclear on how the loot has ended up being divided up recently.
Gonna read the scroll in a bit.
I am somewhat concerned about how the iterative attacks works out (BAB determined, adding an essence or blast shape reduces the number of attacks you can make by 1), while reasonable and still less powerful then the official eldritch glaive ('melee' but with reach, touch attack, and full iterative attacks) it still ends up being a lot of damage. What are your guys thoughts on it?
Rolling health since I'm at 56,585 xp.
(1d6)[4]
Edit: It's on my character sheet under notes, but I'll post it here too-
Item Wishlist- Standard buffs (bracers of armor, ring of prot, amulet of NA, etc), stat wise Dex, Con, Wis and Cha, Wis is only for will saves though, so an item of resistance would be better. More specifically I'd be looking for Chasuble of Fell Power and a Warlock Scepter(s), since the scepter is similar to a wand in that it has 50 charges.

Dhrall: Considering that I can already whack people twice for 20-30 some damage each with a bunch of natural attacks after that, it's fine so far. Reasonable considering whta the rest of the party can do.
Finished reading the scroll. now to answer your questions. Also, I don't need the strbonus text, I got it to work, was just missing the {}.
*The dificulty is good for me. I have a hard time hitting, but my total attack went up by 3 (+1 for level and improved multi-attack removes the -2 penalty)so that should help me some.
* I love the story and would like to follow it through to the end.
* I'm fine either way you want to run it. so far the world seems fleshed out pretty well, so if you want us to interact with more of the people around us, I'm up for it. I should mention however, that Zy is better with animals and magical beast than with people.
*I love the free levels. the +4 ecl I took would be almost unplayable at this level without it. (You think Zy misses alot now, try 3 less levels.)
* Yes, too fast and the game ends too soon.
* I'm build for natural settings (Handle Animal +13, Survival +15, wild empathy, trackless step, etc...), so I would'nt mind one of those. I don't really have a preference as to what I fight, but I would like to be able to do some research and learn about what we are going to fight (weaknesses, abilities, etc...) beforehand. Not all the time, but occasionally. For special request, I can't really use magic items that occupy the head, feet, hands, Arms, Brow (eyes), or shoulders (cloak) spaces: a necklace of natural weapons for four weapons, Leafweave leatehr or padded armor, any magic item with the Incarnum Focus property would be wonderful. A magic simple weapon could be handy as well. But that's a wish list.
i'm enjoying the game, and the difficulty is fine for me.
i'd enjoy following this story through to the end, and the free 4 levels of ecl are very handy.. something i wouldn't mind seeing is a bit more of the social stuff, and maybe doing a few things for our home town as well.
I just realized I wasn't sure where I had put the 2 ability points from leveling into, so after going through I found some inconsistencies with my ability scores.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but...
Spoiler
with base scores of
Str 8
Dex 16 (10pts)
Con 16 (10pts)
Int 10 (2pts)
Wis 8
Cha 16 (10pts)
then
+2 Str
+4 Dex
+4 Con
+2 Int
+2 Wis
and
+2 Dex
+2 Int
+2 Wis
+4 Cha
my scores before the leveling bonuses would be
Str 10
Dex 22
Con 20
Int 14
Wis 12
Cha 20
whereas currently my ability scores are
Str 10
Dex 22
Con 20
Int 14
Wis 10
Cha 20
I'm getting a little better with the macros, for second level I got primal scream whitch raises STR 2, DEX 6, and gives me a bite attack. I wrote this macro for it.
[if(endOrBegin == 0),CODE:
{
[h:Dexterity = Dexterity - 6]
[h:Strength =Strength-2 ]
[r:token.name]’s Primal Scream ends.
};
{
[h:Dexterity = (Dexterity+6)]
[h:Strength = Strength+2]
[r:token.name] lets out a primal scream and gains a bite attack for [r:conbonus+3] rounds
};]
Now what I'm trying to do is add something like this to my attack macros so it will call a radio button is primal scream active yes, no and if it is active run the attack macro with the bite attack, if not run without. Unfortunately I'm getting an error message:
line 1:15: unexpected char: 0x93
I'm going to have to miss the next 2 weekends. tomorrow is a b-day party for my soon to be father in law and next week my girlfriend's son graduates Marine boot camp. feel free to npc my character if you need to.

Actually, I'm posting right now to say sorry, but I'm not able to play tomorrow.
Had a super busy week at work. Without going into too much detail I'm a govt contractor who won't be affected by the possible shutdown, which means I'm preparing to pick up the slack for some people who will, if it happens.
I was planning to do a shortish session anyway, sort of a standalone adventure with plenty of time to hash out what you guys plan to do about the information in your Required Reading, but now it's looking like I won't even have time to set that up unless I stay up to an ungodly hour tonight, and frankly I could do with a rest. Sleeping in tomorrow would be a treat as well.
Sorry, but I'm sure I'll have something put together by next week.

Back at Dagger Rock, Gamon brought you a little girl he found cowering in the woods, claiming to have run from faceless monsters in a village called Tugan where she sold milk.
Traveling there, you found that it was quite peaceful seeming, and the people there claimed that the girl was making the story up. This turned out to be a lie, as a monster (a person suffering from the disease Faceless Hate) attacked, and was slain.
Turns out the people were worried that the whole village would be destroyed if news of the plague got out, and had been destroying the bodies of those who changed. One farmer had his transformed brother tied up in the basement, and you went to dispose of him.
However, he was holding a note which turned out to be an Explosive Runes trap. The room caught fire, and you teleported to safety. Eventually (after several hints of decreasing subtlety) it became clear that the girl, Lucinda, was responsible for it all, poisoning the local well and selling infected milk to transform the populace into monsters, which she then commanded.
Lucinda revealed herself to actually be Pitch, an imp sorcerer, and attacked with four of the Faceless. He attacked with spells, the Faceless pounded away, and eventually they were defeated.
XP:
1 Faceless (CR 10) by itself: 450 xp
4 Faceless and a 12th level imp sorcerer: 3150 xp.
Treasure:
Amulet of Natural Armor +2 (8000 gp)
4 scrolls of Dominate Person (1125 gp each)
Ring of Spell Storing - minor (18000 gp)
Edit:
Oh, and if you still need to discuss treasure division, please do it here so we don't need to spend so much time on it next time.
You expressed an interest in seeking out the Key of Fire next. If you change your minds let me know, because that's what I'll be planning out adventures for.

So: I get the +1 Full Plate (For eventual enchantment with other stuff), the Staff of Healing (for healing up party members when needed, as I can use it without a roll... or should we give that to the UMD guy, as I can heal anyway?), and the scroll of Raise Dead (as I can use it most easily if someone gets killed)
The rest, we liquidate, except for perhaps disposable items such as the scrolls and wands.
Is this correct?
Oh yes, and if we pick up item creation feats, we likely ought to coordinate so there's no overlap. I'm considering grabbing Craft Wondrous Item right now. Is anyone else planning on taking that feat any time soon?

If it's an emergency Cure you need, don't forget that someone needs to carry the Key of Life. As Kharis obnoxiously demonstrated, it's almost as good as a 1-up in the right situation.
Not sure who I'd recommend giving it to. Caster level equals HD, so there's an argument for giving it to whoever is the highest level since they could squeeze out an extra 10 HP.
Then again, giving it to someone damage prone would help them in an emergency.
Then again again since it's a touch spell, giving it to someone with great mobility would also be good, since they could get over and heal a teammate easily.

Oh, by the way:
The magic jug of necromancy: Obviously used to spread the plauge and poison the well, but when we go through and ID things: Is it a jug that infects stuff put in it, were the contents infected and the jug itself was just a mundane container, was it a variation on an everfull jug, or what?

Let's put some water in it and dare someone to drink it. That will get us the answer, unless it just fills itself back up at some point.

It just contained infected milk.

Nah. I was figuring we'd keep it around in case someone tries to do a land invasion. Then we soil their water supply.
I dunno, it seems to me that pretty much any disease you could use for such a purpose would be better than the one that eventually restores all its ability damage and turns an army (which probably mostly consisted of low level warriors) into CR 10 monsters.
Granted, they will turn on their friends (and thus presumably each other) first, but you'd better have a way to keep them contained while they battle it out, or the surrounding countryside is screwed.
And all it takes is one cunning jerk like Pitch to realize that with a wand or two of Dominate Person (level 4 for bards, Pitch was a sorcerer and had scrolls instead) you could turn a bunch of ordinary soldiers into an obedient and nightmarish horde of berserkers.
Edit:
Hmmm, interesting idea for a villain actually. Pitch was intended to be a one-shot character, but with some tweaking you could have the Big Bad of an entire campaign.
Make him a Satyr Bard instead of an Imp Sorcerer. That way he can use his pipes for at will Charm Person, and make wands of Dominate Person. Maybe give him a level of Cancer Mage as well, so he can spread the disease without being at risk himself.
You'd want the party to be non-humanoids, to avoid being controlled. In fact, since I already homebrewed the disease a bit, maybe make it so the villain specifically designed it to only affect humanoids, since he doesn't want to create powerful monsters who will turn against him.
