You're just jealous because Liz isn't at your feet.
Anyone else think Ethan is going to pull shenanigans? He'll call a lawyer. Then we can have lawyer jokes, and Coffee has access to two inexhaustible sources of lawyer jokes.

Well, law rooms supposedly aren't about prejudices - it's about what you can prove.
These are the facts of the case and they are not in dispute: These guys have committed crimes of robbery and murder. The halfling who died earlier (sorry, I'm terrible at names) has relatives - they'll want closure and justice.
If Lloyd pulls the law case then Ethan can pull it right back. And the fact that they were starving may be mitigating circumstances, but it's still robbery and murder.
I don't really think there will be a trial. They were going to hang them, but Lloyd has pushed for them to be given mark's of justice and sent on their way. A trial would be pointless as there could be only two outcomes. Executing them, and sending them away with marks. Lloyd already vetoed the first option.

Possibly. But paladins are very well respected in their religion.
One would think so. I still don't entirely know who this Ethan person is, though. I know that he's a cleric of some sort; is he the person in power in the region they are in?

Yeah. In small villages such as these, the higher-level characters, especially clerics, often become de facto leaders. This is especially true in places like Laria, where the Astridian religion has a strong presence.
You, ma'm, have a future doing this. I see good humour, nice character development and unexplained backstory topics (Which, now that I mention it, might start a big debate about why Lloyd is so hard on himself), and some good comic art too. Keep up the good work, and don't take it too hard if people start complaining about slow updates. Most of us would rather have a good comic in a week than something that's barely filler in 3 days.

Thank you. And I would enjoy seeing a big debate about Lloyd too.
Don't worry; there won't be much filler, if any. I know where I'm going with this. However, I can't update today because I'm looking at colleges. I'll try to update on Wednesday and I *Should* be able to post on Friday, but if Hurricane Earl hits here...

Hurricane?
Green-nosed jar of butter am I glad I'm Danish.
If there's any chance of it hitting then prepare, we can wait

I second this! (except that I'm Finnish)

Ya, I heard about Hurricane Earl. Not worried yet though, it Looks like it will go north and burn out on it's own. (Although if you continue having that heat wave...)
