Hey has anyone here ever tried a digimon game? I would like to play in one myself. However I wouldn't want to DM. I don't do that too well on giantitp.
Freeform games don't have a GM. If you want a GM'd game, you'll want to head over to Play by Post.
If you just want to play a digimon character, though, they fit in quite nicely in the Nexus. They just will be surrounded by beings from all sorts of other cosmologies too.

There's a FAQ bit in the first post in this thread about how to start a new rp universe. Unfortunately, I don't have any advice on how to make a new rp universe stick. I have no real idea what makes some rp universes last and what doesn't.

Hey Kedo here. I haven't posted here in years, but want to get involved in a game. I like a lot of different things. I would be interested in the Last Airbender World stuff, comic book based, fantasy, sci-fi, horror etc... Just let me know what I need to do. :)
Hi Kedo, welcome to FFRP. There isn't really a formalized process for making a character, but I strongly suggest reading through the introduction guides in the first few posts of this thread. I think there's a link to the character directory where you can post your character's description. Being Free Form Role Playing there's no hard and fast rules on what kind of character you can play, and we don't bother with stats and dice rolls, either. If you want to make a character for the Last Airbender, I suggest also looking at their OOC thread for any additional rules they have.
So again, welcome, and I hope you have fun here with us.
So I have a left-over question from my first experience here: What is the proper etiquette if you feel that another player is going over the top on power or otherwise just negating your character?

Wait until you aren't angry anymore then bring it up in the OOC thread of the relevant universe. Usually it can be reasoned out player to player. Often when it can't it's because of the 'posting when angry' thing that tends to make things worse.

Hi. My request may seem like much at first but....
I would like to start off in an universe where I could be pretty strong from the get go (pretty strong from the get go = able to singlehandedly slaughter the equivalent of a group of 4 level 5 fighters) without that upsetting anyone.
