Hello everyone I am (obviously) a new member of the boards. I have been role playing for about 7 years pen and paper style, and online in various formats for 2 years. I have forum FFRP and normal PBP style. I hope to join a few games and have fun with everyone. Are there any games that are currently looking for some new blood? And are there any that are currently looking to not expand?
Well mate, that depends entirely on what you're looking for. Horror ITP is currently picking up soooome speed (not a lot, but some) and if you find the rules and restraints as well as environment, style and world befitting, you're free to write up a character and hop on in, we're just getting started and introduced to one another, so it's not that big a stretch.

I noticed this subforum from the comicLab in the playground and I thought it interesting. After I read parts of the first post my intrest is rise to the stat that I post here.
I like most fantasy things from old D6D Style to I am a Jedi bew bew Style. But the most favorit type of worl I woul join is an semi technology world where the technologi is high enougth for trains and such things but also Magic is used.
My reference: I played Pen & Paper for several years now and I last joined here some PbP games, but they stoped to soon.

If you want a game with technology but also magic, Nexus has both of those things, because it has everything. The Northport FFRP is a new Urban Arcana-type game.

Perhaps Nexus? It's the oldest and biggest FFRP currently existing, and... I was going to describe it here, but the linked post probably describes it better than I can.

@^: Northport is a good choice though. Nexus and Northport are quite similar, in my opinion, except that in Northport the magic is downplayed, and the strangeness is still strange, instead of commonplace like in the Nexus.

I was thinking of doing something similar to that, but it would be within the Nexus Universe. I've only asked a couple of people, though, and haven't really planned anything out yet. And it wouldn't be actually "ReBoot".
I've had a character before, 2 actually, and i would like to use them again. unfortunately, the forums in which i used them died, and it will be hard to find them again. I am looking mostly for Fantasy-based FFRPing.

Try out the Nexus. It's pretty much "anything goes" in regards to Fantasy.
Really. And brand new to world of p&pin in general. Played a lot of computer games, read novels but this is all brand new and complicated a bit to me.
If there is someone out there who is willing to.. teach me some basics about craft and tell me how to get started itl be very apreciated.

Hi, I only just noticed that this forum had a free-form RPG section, and I am very happy it does. I've already posted my own universe, which I had rolling around in my head, and I hope people will post in it, as it is, I'm think I'll be off to waste time playing in every thread I can.

I'd, personally, if it actually happened, prefer it to not have the Fire Nation War as being canon in any way, shape or form. Basically, I'd prefer a threat that isn't actually one of the Four Nations, for reasons that it makes it easier for any bending type to be a 'good guy' or 'bad guy'.
I've got an idea for the Avatar, myself.

I'd, personally, go for the usual *something*itP approach- this would be an entire AU, with no canon characters, and something different to the Fire Nation War. Heck, this would be similar to the AnimeitPs we've had- more directed plot, as well as being more specific, and with most AnimeitPs we've taken the above approach and it works pretty well.
After the war would run right into the Legend of Korra (they're making a sequel, look on Tvtropes/wikipedia). Which is part of why I'd go for the approach outlined above.

Alternate universe, you say? Hm. Yeah, it definetly solves some problems regarding canon, although setting it after the war wouldn't be too problematic either since Legend of Korra won't be released for some time yet. I would be interested in either case. I would probably play a non-bender, since this is how I roll.

That said, I'd try to give non-benders moments to shine- Sokka's the only non-bender in the Gaang, but he shines regularly for being the 'ideas guy' among other things.
And yeah, while Legend of Korra won't be released for a while, I just think AU gives us more options.

The Nexus is the biggest and most chaotic, and new characters are always welcome. If you want a more specific setting, check around and see what interests you.
