There's at least three TvTropes about that.
One of them being 'I got better'.
But considering that several characters have returned from the death I think the conversation would be more.
"Weren't you dead?"
"Yeah"
"Did you see Steve down there? He's five minutes late"

About the FI reboot, how will it start? Will we just agree on a setting and then wait until someone gets off their rears and makes a comic, or will their be an intro a la original FI's archives?

Intro, I believe.
Also, is that Alloren?
Sweet, hopefully he won't run into any disillusional gnomes, giant elk-moose demons or crazy interdimensional letters this time.

Let's just say I'm a patient person....
There's like 4 or 5 people who didn't stop caring about it during that long gap, but those few who waited usually post a comic once a month (unfortunatelly, I'm good example of this)....
It's kinda why FFF:Reboot has been done....

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXXIV - "Go Go Power Lanterns!"
However, I still have to find a suitable artstyle, for I do not like the current one I am using. Perhaps something based on Star Wars: Clone Wars (the original series)? I do not know yet.

How can you like that fan-haters work!
HOW!
*Ahem* sorry, have to scream at anyone mentioning anything to do with the prequels or lose my fanboy card.
Sorry.
Anyway, lots of homework lately so don't expect a comic anytime soon.
Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXXIV - "Go Go Power Lanterns!"
Momo on the far left was the closest I've come to trying to implement manga-style eyes.
I made the eyes and sandwiched them between a white backing for the sclera and cut eye holes through the main face element, so I could deform the eye holes for various eye positions and move the irises around to alter where she was looking. That's the best method I'm aware of for doing them in Burlewan styles.

No idea what that means =/
i drew a white sclera, then duplicated it and shrunk it a tad. I then drew that little white bubble that i'm pretty sure is light reflecting off of the eye, then added in a semicircular iris, leaving a hole for the pupil and a small area between the sclera and the iris. Then i made two curved lines above the eyes for eyebrows. I figure said eyebrows can be used for expressions.
There are probably less roundabout ways to do it but that worked fine for me =/ just not sure if i wanna use them or not.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXXIV - "Go Go Power Lanterns!"
Here we go, some very quick and simple examples:
Here we see the different layers to Momo's face. The white backing of her eyes, her eyes themselves, and the rest of her face which prevents more than we want from being seen. All three layers, including her mouth and eyebrows, are kept as one group in her character design, so we can move them all around and alter her expression without have to select everything en mass. (The sclera in Momo is way bigger than it needs to be, but it should be big enough to cover however much of the eye will be open)
Here's some example expressions we can achieve with this method:
Makes it very easy to alter her gaze and her expression if you can shift her eyes around in her head and alter how much she's squinting or such.

That's pretty damn good Lying, I almost want you to switch to such an artstyle for Remember.
And here's some concept art for Future Perfect (as I've liked to call the "better" version of FI ), namely Ins:
I quite like this style, especially the black/white contrasts, and the fact that Ins looks like Agent Smith from the Matrix.
Other characters might be slightly more cartoony; Ins' realism was done as an attempt to distance the reader from him, while more "relatable" characters such as Threeshades or Keveak would be drawn slightly less detailed to garner more empathy and association.

He needs a pony tail to be evil.
@Kev: The top ones were for a comic I wanted to make that never got started, and the bottom was just one of my signature characters I drew. His name is Lupin.
