BH begins playing a new game with her friends, MG and SM. They start out in the MECHANOFORTRESS, which will serve as their main base throughout the game. The MANIACAL OVERLORD MACHINE, aka MOM, greets the players and informs them that the MECHANOFORTRESS is overrun with ROGUE robots, which must be exterminated.
BH and SM go on ahead, fighting ROGUS and eventually coming to the BOSS ROGUE, which must be defeated to gain control of the MECHANOFORTRESS. MG remains behind to work on an invention. BH and SM fight the BOSS ROGUE but seem to be losing, when suddenly the game crashes.
MG, outside of the game, applies a special patch to her ROUTER that was given to her by BH. SM is having trouble applying the patch, so MG goes on ahead while BH assists her. MG deploys the MISSILE LAUNCHER she had been working on to destroy the BOSS ROGUE. However because of min/maxing, the rocket travels extremely slowly. MG retreats to wait for it's inevitable demise.
Above, MG opens the secret door to STAGE ZERO, planning to use her outside knowledge to navigate it and collect a number of useful items. However, instead of STAGE ZERO she finds that the door simply opens to an endless black void in all directions, even behind the door she came through. Confused, she leaves and moves upstairs.
JH, a member of the enemy team, approaches the MECHANOFORTRESS and begins firing a cannon at it, intending to test the defenses. Finding no resistance, JH moves into the MECHANOFORTRESS to confront the players directly. JH finds MG alone, and engages her. Just before JH can defeat MG, SM and BH enter the game, and surprise attack JH, dealing significant damage.
After a short skirmish, JH retreats. BH pursues, leaving MG and SM behind. Below, BH attempts to engage JH, but is countered and thrown across the room. BH uses her ACTION and SUAVE points to detonate a bomb she retro-actively placed on JH, but can't stop herself from sliding across the floor and through the door to STAGE ZERO, and begins falling.
MG and SM, unable to contact BH, decide to continue on with the game without her for now. They begin planning their next move, assuming that BH will fix whatever problems she's having soon.
After some time, BH lands undamaged, and finds herself in a strange, seemingly half-finished world. Wandering the halls, BH finds a room that changes size when a dial is turned on it, a construction robot with a whole world inside of it, and other oddities. Eventually BH manages to access an old-style computer terminal, which has a program on it that allows her to view the other players. After a short conversation with MG and SM, BH is interrupted by SOMETHING.
SM, still confused as to what BH is up to, continues on her quest to restore the SACRED FLAME to the TEMPLE. Inside the temple, SM is confronted by a RUNED SHADOWBEAR, a stronger variety of the minor minions she had been fighting. After a short and one-sided spar, the RUNED SHADOWBEAR makes off with the SACRED FLAME. No longer warded off by the light of the SACRED FLAME, the SHADOWBEARS and other monsters begin to move in on SM, who retreats to a side passage.
In a small room, SM finds a SHADOWBEAR reading a POLITICAL MAGAZINE, and is QUITE DISAPPROVING of his behavior. She confiscates the MAGAZINE and recruits the SHADOWBEAR to be her SQUIRE, transforming him into a CADDYBEAR.
Now with someone to conveniently carry her large amount of swords, SM proceeds on to confront the HORDE of SHADOWBEARS, track down the RUNED SHADOWBEAR, and finally re-light the TEMPLE….just as soon as she finishes fully exploring the rest of this side-passage…

Huh, that's odd. You were kinda hoping for more stuff to explore. Not that you're avoiding dealing with that horde of SHADOWBEARS, of course. You just...want to be thorough.
