I said I'd get some things in after midnight! I count my days by sunrises...
Although being up this late is an exceptional situation, most of the time I try to be asleep by 1 AM at the latest. Been a strange and busy weekend...
And, next week may be difficult for me. Bioengineering midterm, and the game for which those sheets were written this weekend. Although, more character sheets may pad me out a bit, and I should have Sunday free, so I expect I'll manage somehow.

Whoa, serious writing rush this week for me! O_o My novel has a few scenes of people being lazy, but I'm not sure that really counts in regards to the theme (bascially, two characters do nothing but sit around, drink beer and chat whenever they share the "screen").
I actually still draw at least 3 drawings a week, but everything turns out badly, so I don't upload it. But it's a nice minimum to keep for myself. Need to ramp it up, though - can't have the Challenge disappear entirely into writing
@Shadowy Silence: Forgot to give you a week counter last week. I'm sorry. Fixed now.
Also, again sorry for the delay. I really, really thought I'd uploaded it at 12:30 when I wrote out this post.
So, for some idiotic reason, despite being well aware of it, and even having looked it up several times since I started my project of 'learn to draw', I realized the other day that I haven't been using the whole standard oval - cross outline for faces. I think I started with it for faces head-on, then dropped it cause I had that shape down okay (not as well as I should have), and then tried to start drawing profile and 3/4 views, and was having no luck, until a friend pointed out that I ought to be using it. So, duh. And suddenly I can draw faces twice as well.
I call that progress!

I'm taking a break from my novelaish thingy. My submission for the week can be found here. It's well over 2500 words.

Good week for me! Four pages, so reasonable artistic progress as well as 1000 words of a play which more than finishes the challenge and means more creative success.

@Glass: Little bit of burnout, little bit of not having plot planned out... and this setting (and adventures in it) are what I was originally planning to do for the challenge in the first place. Also, 8000 words yikes.

Interesting theme.
Heh, lack of planning is the destroyer of stories. I tend to reach that point 4-10 pages in when I realize that I have no idea what I'm doing.

Eep! I'm sorry Force of habit + forgetfulness. Fixing it now.

Yeah. Actually, I've got a good idea where I want the story to go. The problem is that it's a detective story and I need about fifty dozen red herrings between here and there.
Current week's submission is here, 2800+ words. Also, did the forums eat your PM?

I've got nothing at all this week, I'm afraid. Been too busy studying for a chemistry test. I may not be able to keep this up for the next two weeks either, because finals. We'll see I guess.

There are other art forms! See if they'll tolerate you sketching them!
Speaking of sketching, finals are coming up for me too, so the odds of me doing anything this week are sketchy.

Let's go ahead and make this week's theme...adrenaline. Do what you will.
So, yeah, this week is looking unlikely, between an o chem quiz, a play, and my toughest final on Tuesday of next week (I hate classes where the test means are like 45%. Ugh). Next week we'll see, but with two Friday finals I'd say unlikely.
...of course, then the week after that I'm spending my whole spring break studying for the NREMT. But, I should be free time-y enough to get my sketching done too.

I'm sure we can all agree that exams and professors need to get a grip. Some of us got more important things to do, like... writing and drawing and stuff.
Glass Mouse passes with 6.480 words of novel writings (including one adrenaline-filled climax).
Lil Shiro uploaded a love poem.
Shadowy Silence didn't upload anything.
Reltzik didn't(?) upload anything.
Ice Walker didn't send me anything.
Kyouhen passes with assorted sketches, MLP drawings, one skydiving extreme sport, a Pinkie-glasses-and-explosions, and a six-panel adventure comic.
Thus, Lil Shiro, ShadowySilence, Reltzik and Ice Walker FAIL this round!
Glass Mouse and Kyouhen PASS this round!
Come on, guys, that's just crappy showing! You can do better than this!
So... I just finished the novel. 74 pages, all in all, without revisions. It's the first time in... 1½ years that I actually finished something.
It feels awesome.
And now I gotta go write a horror vampire short story. This'll be fuuuun!
I really should get back to serious drawing, shouldn't I?
@Reltzik: If you did your contributions for this week, protest. I wasn't entirely sure.
Also, you never answered my PM?
Finished a novel! Well done, Glass Mouse, congratulations!
Whether or not I am in this week depends on how determined I want to be to get back into things. Got two finals Friday morning, so if I really try I could see if I can turn out a full Challenge batch over the weekend. I may be taking the train home, so I'll probably have some time...we'll see.

I support the godly magazine idea, and hope that Eld can serve as mix of town crier and incredibly deadpan game show host in some sections. Also, for some odd reason, he will also make appearance when it comes to godly fashion tips, for even if he is grim reaper he will be the most bishounen god there is. Just you wait

@C'nor: Awesome, and welcome! Your texts are quite good, I especially like the worm guy one. Wonderfully creepy ^^
Hope you'll stay! Just remember, to pass, you need a minimum of 1500 words a week.
My short story is here. I had so much trouble collecting my mind for this thing. I'm not sure if I'm glad that I had a deadline, so I had to finish it anyway; I fear rereading and finding out that it's horrible.
But hey, I've proved to myself that I can still write something self-contained! Hooray!
And yeah, I was aware of the word-thing, I just got dragged off by real life, and then realized at one in the morning on the twenty-fifth 'I really need to write another 730 words, don't I?'... Which, clearly, didn't work out.
Also, the first of my submissions for the week, a new spell, and accompanying scene, which comes in at 258 words:
