The M.O.U.S.E. resided in its home dimension while deciding upon a course of action to combat the Chaos. It thought back to the events over the past five years.

It started as a novel experiment in a small dimension attempting to halt and possibly even reverse entropy. Underestimating its unpredictability, the scientists lost control and entropy swallowed the dimension. Taking advantage of natural wormholes existing throughout its dimension, it passed into other dimensions, consuming more and more. With every dimension it ate, its intelligence and cunning grew. Pan-dimensional beings grew aware of its presence and sought to fight it.

M.O.U.S.E. finished his recollections and decided to fight the Chaos with another being. But with no beings strong enough to oppose it, the only option was to create a being with the combined strengths of weaker beings and without their weaknesses.

With the energy of dimensions, the M.O.U.S.E. created an arena, a place for the strong to develop their skills and create strength that could be copied into the greatest being necessary. It started with a model of the Colosseum, a familiar arena where only the strongest continued to fight. The holding cells were indestructible, built of the same fabric as all dimensions were.

It then pulled any beings with a modicum of power into its arena. After all of the beings were assembled, it sorted the beings into cells, holding them unconscious. It implanted into their minds the message that they would need to fight to survive. Only winning would gain them benefits and eventually freedom. It didn't intend to kill anyone, but the fear of death would draw out their latent abilities.

Having done that, it turned over the day-to-day duties and operations to its Gamemaster, its faithful servant and second-in-command.
