Sorry, now that the rope is in place, you can take ten to climb. No need to roll, just take ten. A secured assent (as I would consider climbing a rope, even though it isn't secured) lets you take ten. There is nothing unpredictable about it. It is a vastly different level of danger. Also the DC is now five, because you have the rope.
In general, when you use conviction, you keep the second roll, even if it's worse (although conviction can re-roll that too).
Beriadan, Elun, Evin and Vanalya enter from the ground. Then, try diplomacy?
Bluff, Diplomacy, Intimidate...mostly Bluff, though. I think we're providing distraction for the climbers so that they can get in, and then providing things like flanking, commands, and also generally destroying undead.

We walked right into that, didn't we. At least this game doesn't have genocidal cannibal sorcerers. Yet.
Okay, I want to move things forward, but I have a question... what exactly is the plan here?
Alexander, Nicholas and Sulet enter from the roof? To do what?

Are these to happen simultaneously? How exciting!

I plan on going into that metal grate if I can fit. If not, I'm going to lower myself down close enough to a window break open it, and hop inside. Please tell me Called Shots are allowable in Pathfinder.
And also, this sounds like the worst greatest TV show ever.

@Cardea: Sorry, if I wasn't clear the metal hatch is large, it's purpose was originally for guards/scouts to access the top of the tower.
@Ajadea: Concerning flanking... do remember that you are separated by O(60 ft) of tower. Running up or down 5-6 flights of stairs (which may or may not be in disrepair) could take a while.
And what makes you so certain there are no genocidal, cannibal sorcerers in there? Maybe Basel just didn't seem appetizing!
Just to clarify (in case I haven't been clear), Sulet is almost certain that he can open the hatch. The hatch's purpose is obviously for people to move through it once it is opened. The act of opening it might be loud, but Sulet believes it can be opened. However, he also believes that someone is down there on the level below the hatch.
If you haven't weighed in (or told the relevant party members what your character knows) now would be a good time to do it. I want to move the game forward, which I believe involves the door party knocking, but I want to make sure that is the whole plan at the moment.
The roof party will have no knowledge of what is going on down there, so I want to make sure that I know what your characters intend to do so that I can play that accordingly.

I'll assume that Nicholas and Alexander can act simultaneously in this sort of surprise round.
On non-lethal damage...
NL damage rules are as follows.
- NL damage is accumulated separately from regular damage
- If current NL damage = current HP, then target is staggered
- If current NL damage > current HP, then target is unconscious
- If NL damage > total HP, all NL damage in excess in real damage
- A resting person heals 1 NL damage per hour
- A normal weapon can deal NL damage, but the attacker takes a -4 penalty on the attack
Also, relevant on regular damage...
- If HP <= -Con, character dies
NPC's play by the same rules as PCs, so unless total HP drops below -Con, the NPC is not dead. In other words, even in playing nice, you don't need to play so nice.
