@Ajadea: You can keep up, he's in decent shape, but he's over forty and hasn't run in a long time. Hurry up and kill the undead, I am looking forward to this scolding - and the other's reactions (it's a good think Alexander isn't deserving of any of it, for once he might get a break)!
@GBSD: Your description was totally fine, I would prefer a spoiler in the IC thread along with your post that contains the attack and damage. I'd probably allow the rushed diplomacy at -10, but then she'd need a 35...
I am a little confused by the smite damage. I count 2d4+10 (+6=4*1.5 for str, then +4=2*2 to 1st attack smiting undead), where is the other +2 coming from?
Is it okay if Vanalya uses her next turn to yell at the party for scaring Basel? And her, but she's not about to admit that right now...and I assure you, the moment I posted, I was kinda going 'guys, Diplomacy, learn it, use it, not trying to kill our only lead from fright here...'
Yeah yeah. You're right. Basically, Evin saw diplomacy as forfeited after Nicholas shot that arrow.

Is it just me, or is it really funny that the youngest member here is about ready to start scolding people who are somewhere between 9 and 15 years older than her like she would scold her little brother?
No, it's not just you.

Hey! . Don't forget the bard's bonuses. I already have to put up with Alexander calling me crazy IC (and the DM calling me crazy OOC). Make the guy feel useful! I am totally kidding, in case it was not clear.
And Cardea, I love Sulet. Really.

Actually, I forgot the extra damage from smiting undead on the first successful attack.
I originally counted +6 from strength, +1 from inspire courage, +3 from power attack, and only +2 from smite, so it should be 2 more damage.
Edit: Should I make note of special modifiers in the IC spoilers?
Edit 2: I guess I'll point out here that the damage ignores DR, and Beriadan gets a +3 deflection bonus to AC against the badger, improving it to 21.

Yeah, noting modifiers will definitely help - the higher in level you get, the more intense this always seems to become. Since I was looking in the OOC thread, I missed the power attack in the IC thread. Part of me wants to make some crack about how I forgot that a bard singing in battle actually does something, but I actually did legitimately forget that inspire courage applies to damage...
No worries! Everything is great! I should mention that I love Beriadan's one liners. The "Iomedae sends her regards!" while speaking to a badger absolutely cracked me up.
By the way, I feel at this point I should mention a few of the options that are available to you, as players in the game.
First, there are raises, as a example, Ajadea could try to raise some way to make the man stop against say tripping and losing him to the darkness (maybe I'd take this, maybe not). Of course you don't ever have to do this. I'd hate it if you tried to do it every turn. I just want you to know it is an option if you think, "what my character would do right now is X, but there are no mechanics for that!"
Second, there is conviction. You can roll twice and take the higher result, you can reroll, you can take an extra action, an extra turn, you can even evade death.
Third, if you are a caster, I feel I should remind you that spells have you are make fort, reflex and will attacks (as 1d20 + Normal Save DC - 10) vs fixed defenses.

Same here with Basel running away from the creepy music.
I heard Sulet likes tripping, so I put some psychadelics on his hanbo during our journey to the graveyard so he could trip while he trips on his trip.
Apologies to all, "trippin', yo" just reminded me of that. And I lack lame joke self control.
Quiet, orange sky demon. Edit: I'm sorry, Orange Sky Demon! Edit: Wait, don't you owe me money? Edit: Give me my money, Orange Sky Dem-

@Cardea: No, it can't. I'll just tell you, it is the skull of a big dog. ...and I totally don't care about double posting.
Hrmm...
Would the skull of the Badger fit over my head?
Edit: And Double-Posting is, if I recall correctly, frowned upon by Admins, unless you have a reason for it, which is why I, and others, apologize for it.

Actually Roland once stated, in Board and Site issues, that as long as it is for a legitimate reason and not just bumping the thread it is okay to double post in games.
You know basically everything about the enchantment speels you can cast.
yeah....but this is one of the rare cases when character knowledge surpasses player knowledge, I fear....
Do I know what it takes for a third party to break an enchantment like that?

@Strawberries: Actually... I don't know entirely. This has come up once before for me. I can't find any indication that a charm can be broken by external parties (short of a dispel). Evin would know that. He would know they could wait it out, or somehow convince him that you actually aren't enemies (he is still treating you as hostile by the way). Right now, all of the evidence points to the fact that you are all very crazy and dangerous individuals (Sulet is definitely not helping). To get him to lead you to the person who charmed him, you would need to convince him that you are not a danger to him, or his charmer.
@Werewhale: I actually don't understand what this sense motive is about. "Also, Sense Motive to see if he's acting or is just that stupid." Is it about Sulet? I don't understand what Basel has done to convey stupidity. If you mean about his not acknowledging anything off about being with the undead, then I guess he "just seems that stupid."

At this point, I'd say wait. Sulet's got some rope, if the Enchantment lasts for several hours. If its any longer than that, than... we should find some way to break the enchantment, and I don't think any of our magically delicious folk are that powerful yet.
Also: An Acting Gig popped up! I'M LIKE EIGHTEEN LEVELS OF HAPPY RIGHT NOW.

When do I get the natural 18? Scaring the daylights out of my party members. Figures. Though by now, I can definitely see her and Alexander bullying each other to the point of her kicking him out of her house. She could probably scare people like Grosh with these rolls....
More on topic: what now? Vanalya is not going to let you tie Basel up. She really wants him to think of them as allies, and between Sulet's hat, Beriadan's miserable Diplomacy, Alexander's penchant for Intimidate, and someone (she couldn't see Nick) shooting at them in the midst of negotiations, she knows that it's going to be an uphill battle. But she's stubborn enough to try fighting that battle.
