Re: [Hourglass of Zihaja D&D 4e] Heroes on a Sea of Swords OOC
Oh look at that, the forum ate Shadow's post. Good thing I came here to check things out. Let's say Teshiq moves to D11 and uses Mantle of Glory. I'm not sure how the mast affects positioning, if he can't hit both sides, focus on the side with Vertasi and the rest of us.

As usual, who would we like Amirah to attack this turn? She can target the archer, being the only one that isn't hampered by his cover, she can target the witch, with an area attack so that visibility isn't an issue, or she can continue to hit Vertasi while we are aware of her position.
My current workplace has myth-weavers blocked, so my post is going to have to wait a bit.

I'm currently of the mind that whoever can snipe that archer should do so. Rahman can mark both the remaining enemies, and I'd just suggest that anybody who has a lick of striker in them piles on while she's in a known place.

Amirah is not the best striker now that she's out of dailies, but she ain't bad either. Thus why I ask what the team prefers: Amirah the striker, or Amirah the controller for this turn. Either is a good option.
I'm leaning towards sniping the archer, right now, if everyone else is going to charge Vertasi.

If we could beat this encounter soon, I'd like to move on to the RP section and adding the new characters to the team. We'll be replacing our cleric and sorcerer with a bard and an elementalist.

What's that? A crit? What a surprise. 26 damage + 10 Ongoing to Vertasi. Plus a free attack, which will be another leading strike, this time boosting Teshiq's next turn.
Attacks: (1d20+18)[30] (1d20+18)[31]
Damage: (1d7+14)[17] (No painful oath this time)

Is he actually conscious at the moment? Also, what normal procedure for dealing with pirates we catch? Turn them over to some authorities where they are most likely sentenced to death?

Re: [Hourglass of Zihaja D&D 4e] Heroes on a Sea of Swords OOC
Yeah, hand her to the authorities in any port city and then collect the bounty from the merchant guild. The sentence depends on the port; sentence might range from life in prison and loss of a hand to death. Since it is widely believed that Vertasi is a man, you'll probably need to take her in alive to ensure they know who she is.
He's conscious now, but barely. He is beyond Teshiq's powers to heal.

Re: [Hourglass of Zihaja D&D 4e] Heroes on a Sea of Swords OOC
Hmm, I was going to suggest--assuming this is legitimate (it seems possible Vertasi could've switched places with the pahari)--that Amirah dive into the water to see if she can recover any of the loot that went into the drink, but with one enemy in the water I'm not sure how safe that actually is. On the other hand, I get the feeling our DM is eager to move things along too.
Anyway, when I get a chance today I'll have Medinah secure Vertasi before she runs down to check on the captain and crew.

Agreed, if I didn't know Shadow Elf was trying to rush us to port (with good reason), I'd go into paranoia state right about know over the likelihood Mrs. Vertasi was, once again, trying to pull a fast one on us. As it is, how would we even stop her from continuing to switch with whomever is handy? Bind her eyes is a good start, of course, but also just that: a start.
Re: jumping into the water: Amirah is almost at full health. If the pahari wants to play, Amirah is game. I say she can take care of loot recovery while someone else takes care of Vertasi and someone else goes down to rescue the rest of the crew.

Alright, I have made a new OOC thread, as this one has gotten too big and has reached its 50 page limit. The new thread is here.
By the by, does anyone know how to get a moderator's attention to delete a duplicate thread? I accidentally made two new OOC threads due to a forum bug. Does the Report Post option do the trick?
