Biography: Runs a dairy farm, though would probably smack you if you called her a 'farmer', using magic to perform all of the day to day tasks there. Specializes in ice cream and puddings of all flavors, and delivers that to any shop or store that may need it, but also does milk, cheese, yogurt, etc.
Personality: Somewhat arrogant, easily frazzled and gets very frustrated over little things.
Relationships: to be determined, though I would imagine at the very least she delivers ice cream to the soda shop.

Appearance: Pale purple with a darker purple/almost black mane in a single braid. Violet eyes. Winged.
Cutie Mark: A quill with a squiggle of ink at the tip.
Skills: Writing, drawing to a lesser extent, very insightful, intelligent
Biography: A poet and writer. (More to be determined later)
Personality: A dreamer, always off in her own thoughts. Very smart, but not a lot of common sense. Always talks in poems and often doesn't make a lot of sense. Confuses people, but doesn't realize it.
Relationships: Friend of Black Brush. to be determined

Name: Old Fin
Apperance: Old Fin is an older, sea blue earth pony with a salty gray mane and bright green eyes. His mark is a small green fish with X'd eyes and he wears a light tan fishing vest and fishing hat.
Skills: Fishing, swimming, fishing, cooking, fishing, sleeping and fishing.
Biography: Old Fin is a relaxed, wise pony, his time spent fishing leaving him in touch with the world. He loves relaxing on the pier and often gives out advice in a safely manner.
Personality: Old Fin is lax, calm and really cool pony. He offers sagely advice or a friendly ear to any pony who comes to him, he is almost always found at the end of his pier. If you really want, he'll even let you fish with him.
Relationships: Old Fin is friends with all the ponies who have ever looked for him and also a patron of Soft Serve's Soda Shop.

Name: Berry Ann
Appearance: Brown earth pony with a red mane. Her cutie mark is a rasberry. She's often seen with her lantern nearby, though it's only lit during the night.
Cutie Mark: A raspberry
Skills: Berry farmer
Biography: Berry Ann is part of the Berry Clan, distant offshoots of the main Apple family. Of course, to hear the Berries say it, those no good Apple varmints are a disgrace to the good Berry family name - the two clans have been rivals for generations, ever feuding over the fruit trade. The Berry Clan are all experts in the various parts of berry farming, from growing cherry trees and strawberry bushes to various berry dishes and preserves. Berry Ann in particular has an affinity for red and blue rasperries. She was enouraged to leave the ancestral Berry farm near Fillydelphia to strike out on her own and build up her own berry farm.
Personality: Unfortunately, Berry's a bit abrasive and stubborn, and she has issues with authority. She's also got a healthy dose of the Berry Clan pride, which will lead to confrontations with any Apples that might appear. Still, once you get past that exterior, she's a faithful friend that will always be there when you need her.
Relationships: Berry Ann's new in town, so she doesn't really know anybody.

Name: Spooks
Appearance: Pale grey pegasus pony; slick white mane and tail. Eyes are green but hidden behind sunglasses most of the time. Wears a black suitcoat and tie (somehow!). Cutie mark is... this.
Biography: Spooks knows you're all out to get her. Don't deny it, you totally are! She's a bit of a paranoiac with attention problems to boot. She works as a camerapony... for something. She has a special harness that goes on her back and holds the swiveling arm on which the technological piece is mounted.
Personality: She suspects everyone of everything. Her attempts to hide this... well, they come off rather laughably. She holds no ill will against anyone despite her paranoia.

Name: Wind Dancer

Appearance: Male unicorn with a light, mossy green coat and yellow mane. His cutie mark is a horseshoe. Wind's most prized possession is a guitar, which he doesn't usually carry around for fear of damaging it.

Skills: His name actually refers to the odd way objects behave in the presence of his music. Wind is only fairly athletic, and cannot be counted on to do anything more graceful than shuffle his feet or jump around a little. When he plays, things move around as if gusts were blowing them around. Wind has a few other music related spells, as well as a great knowledge of Equestrian myth.

Biography: Wind Dancer has recently moved to Bridle Shores in search of inspiration. He is in the middle of a creative slump he just can't seem to shake. Wind hopes that a change of scenery will help get his creative juices flowing so he can compose more music.

Personality: Wind is polite and friendly, but not always social. People trying to talk to him often find his attention diverted to a piece of sheet music or a book. He is fascinated by mythology and history. Wind is imaginative, and matches his inner monologue to what he is reading and writing.

Relationships Having just moved in town, Wind doesn't know many of the citizens, but will be glad to make new friends.

Given the amount of characters and interest, it might work out best to seperate into different RP threads based on location, ala old town, (may still work this way, though I haven't really ventured into FFRP in years) just so that people can keep track of who's availble to talk to and so on?

It's like saving and quitting a videogame, usually done when you go off your computer and stuff.
Essentially, when you're gonna go offline, you say that your characters "go into deadtime" or that they "deadtime" (it's a noun, a verb, a place, a country, a way of life, a flavor of panda...) and thus the characters sort of drop out of the action until you come back.

Might be a good idea. Maybe EvilDMMk3 could make a thread for his evil lab? I could possibly make a thread for the computer shop, and I know that some other players have artist studios, bakeries and other places they have in mind.

We could convert the "Mane" thread into Soda's Bar, and use it as a mane gathering point for ponies.

So, any pony who wants to make a thread for a pony RP location, feel free to make one in the FFRP forum,and give it the [FiM] tag in the topic title. Try to be descriptive with each setting to draw in players.

Let's try not to make too many places though. Or else we'll have the exact opposite problem of too few players with many locations.

Deadtime was my invention, actually. When one's player is away the PC is locked in temporal stasis. It works given the somewhat silly nature of the Town/Nexus setting but it gets used pretty much everywhere now with sufficient handwaving.

As for multiple location threads...

Given the number of RP universes we have here on FFRP now we've tried to crunch as many locations into a single thread as possible.

For example, over at the Nexus(Town) we have Inside for all urban locations, Outside for rural/wilderness, and then a few specific location threads (like Trog's Tavern) for very commonly used spots. Basically only MAJOR locations that will roll-over threads in less than a month should probably have their own thread. Otherwise a meta-location like Inside is more workable to prevent too much clutter.

EDIT OF DOOM!

Oh! And to distinguish where Inside someone might be a [Location Tag] is used at the top of the post for easy reference. So over here someone might be at the [Beach] or the [Soft Serve Parlor] despite being in the same thread. Because of the tag it's clear where they are to other players.

I'd rather not have a bunch of location threads. That'd get confusing.

Perhaps we should make two pony towns? I wouldn't mind moving to a different hamlet if it means making the game less chaotic for people.

Well...I'm reluctant to separate the two RP groups from each other. It would mean some players only get to interact with one group, while having to be left out of another.

Though...a sister town might work. One located on the other side of the lake, so that Ponies could easily travel between the two towns and visit each other.

What do you all think of that?

Just add flexi-time (Ponies can be in multiple places at once if you don't think too hard about it).
