Snow Flake

Appearance: Snow Flake is a white male Pegasus with turquoise eyes and an ice blue mane. His cutie mark is a small grouping of snowflakes.

Skills: Making it snow/snowy weather!

Biography: Snowflake was born in a very cold part of the world. He loves ice cream and snow and snowcones and snowmen and snowballs and snowball fights and icicles and yeah! He enjoys it when he gets the chance to make it snow over town.

Personality: A playful and energetic pony that hates doing work. He loves sugar and fun and is very hyper. Also he's gay.

Eh, don't feel bad about it. You might be able to get somebody to pursue that little sub plot with you actually.

Name: Silvermane
Type: Unicorn
Appearance: A midnight-blue unicorn mare with a long, flowing sliver mane and tail, and silver eyes. She's a hair taller than most ponies, but tries to minimize herself as much as possible. When provoked (which is hard to do), her mane and tail tend to go all loose and flowy in a style most reminiscent of certain shonen anime.
Cutie Mark: A silver pawprint.
Special Talent: Working with animals of all kinds. Her magic includes very minor healing, animal empathy (more of an inherent trait), and magic for soothing small, frightened animals.
Other Skills: A good friend once you get to know her. She's a decent cook, and is apparently good at working with flowers.
Flaws: Very shy and moe, scared of social situations.
Biography: Silvermane grew up on the very edges of town, closer to the base of Mt. Trotia. She loved cute things, like bunnies and stuffed animals, but as she grew older she was subjected to peer pressure to grow out of it. However, instead of growing out of it, she simply hid it, revealing her secret only to her closest friends*. To this day, her job remains taking care of the animals, and assisting Whitefire at the flower shop in order to make a few bits.
Personality: Silvermane has always been a victim of peer pressure. She's always seemed like the "cool" type to others, and has been pressured by her peers into fitting this role. But deep down, she's more like Fluttershy: she's shy, loves animals, and enjoys cute things, as evidenced by a number of stuffed animals she keeps in her room*. She sometimes just listens to music, often getting lost in her music. She only reveals her secret to her closest friends, but once she's around her friends she becomes a fun pony to be around. Her favorite music is music by R.E.M. and The Sea Ponies. She always tries to minimize herself, taking a submissive posture. The only time she's really confident around other ponies is if the situation involves animals, or said ponies are her close friends.
Relationships: Very close friends with Whitefire and Foxglove, and increasingly good friends with Snickerdoodle. Also good friends with Soft Serve, and becoming friends with Fox Trot.

*This may or may not be based on a true story.

Really, she just wants to be loved.

Whether that seems like somebody Silver would be a close friend with or a somewhat-ish friend with is up to you.

And done! I am very curious to see how this friendship works out. I imagine it would be somewhat like a friendship between Fluttershy and Pinkie, yet my brain refuses to try and predict it.

So, are there video games in this setting? Or are we sticking to board games and playing outdoors?

Oh! Oh! I can think of a couple of ponies here who would make great candidates for Equestria's first Playstations. ;p

I think it is going to be like the friendship between Fluttershy and Pinkie. Heck Soft Serve pretty much is pinkie except for a few differences like she owns her own Soda store and is on a constant caffeine/sugar high due to the amount of soda she drinks.

That wasn't really intended, it's just what she ended up as.

Yeah, just make sure you introduce your character a little.

Man. Six pages in six hours. I've returned to pony madness!

Should it help alleviate the urban growth boundary, I'd be willing to take four to six ponies on a more episodic journey. More akin to Swarm of the Century or the first two episodes, where ponies uncover the magic of friendship.

Last question. Does my backstory need any fixing? I did mention a rather specific landmark. And I'm still not sure if I inadvertently snatched the "taking care of the animals" job right out from under someone's nose.

DarthBobCat has the job of taking care of animals, but he's primarily a Lumberjack, so I don't think it would be a big deal if your pony was an animal pony as well.

As for the land mark, I believe there's a mountain nearby, although I can't recall its name. You could just change it to that and it would be fine. You don't even Necessarily have to change it.

He could have tried Joy. But as her talent is matchmaking, she tends to reject everyone, cheerfully saying 'I'll know them when I see them.'

I'm seeing three general places to winter it out: The Soda Bar, Whitefire's gardens, or the Doom Lab. All are welcome in the gardens, it should be known.

Did we reach a consensus if these should be separate threads?
