OK seriously it is NOT the Doom Lab. It is just a Science Lab, where Science happens! Vague general Science like in all fiction. I could act as custodian for a location thread, although I expect it to become more and less populated over time (makes sense, he will do SCIENCE there from time to time that needs volunteers but it is hardly a major place for Ponies to hang out.)

What I mean is how will we decide when a day or two has passed, simply with one poster going "alright guys, two days have passed and blah blah blah etc"...?

Ok guys. I DO think we need seperate threads. But NOT YET. We just simply don't have enough people to warrant seperate threads at the moment. I mean Six pages of RP in six hours may be facinating to sone but in the FFRP world that I'd nothing.

I realize what you meant, and that's the thing. We could just pretend days pass without ever saying they did or without anyone even RPing sleeptime. Frankly, trying to mantain a set time to change days would hurt peoples RPs, and waiting till everyone finished RPing would never happen due to deadtimes and all that.
Here's what I mean: Screw continuity. Just let people say a day has passed for their character whenever they want to, and they don't have to literally say it. Sure different ponies may be on different days, but RPers are hardwired for these things.

If we do wind up going with multiple threads, we have a few options...

-Specific Locations: Threads that represent important places, like the Soda Bar, the Science Lab, and The Beach.

-General Areas: I would suggest for this that we simply separate the areas of Bridle Shores into two different threads - The Town for businesses like the Soda Bar and the streets of Bridle Shores, and The Outskirts where forest ponies, secluded science labs, and encounters with strange and mystical creatures occur. (We would want to use location tags [That Look Like This] to specify where in "The Town" or "The Outskirts" our pony would be.)

-Sister Town: OR, we could declare there to be a second Pony Town across the lake, so that ponies could travel back and forth between the two towns. The opposite town would essentially be an "extension" of the current one, so shops that ponies want to have can be located in the "sister town". Travel between the two towns is expected and encouraged.

-Hybrid: And of course we could mix and match some of these ideas. We could have a main town, sister town AND outskirts to make a total of three threads, or we could have major locations and the general areas of Bridle Shores.


To keep things from getting out of hand hoof, I think we should hold...A Vote!

Alright then, since this pony thread is growing at a rapid rate, it's time we decide whether we should expand into more than one thread.

So here's how we're going to decide. We essentially have five options:

*Specific Locations
*General Areas
*Sister Town
*Hybrid (Please specify*
*One Thread (No change)

So all you ponies, I'd like you to vote on which of these we should do! Post your vote in red so that we can see it, and we'll tally all of them up on...let's say, Monday 3:00 PM EST.

Tell everypony about the vote so they don't get left out!

General areas seems a reasonable stopgap until we get the economy of scale required to break it down further.

Okay, I've talked it over with Intobulus and we've come to a decision regarding side characters.

As long as a side character isn't important to main cast characters like Luna is, and has some reason to be here, you can play them if you want. I believe the poster appropriately named "Trixie" has dibs on the great and powerful Trixie, but Gilda for example is allowed.

WOULD ANYONE OBJECT if I managed to clear the sky of clouds? I have an amusing and ironic method, and there will still be snow/ice on the ground to remove, but we won't get any more.

I'd personally prefer a sister town, because I'd rather not have to keep track of continuity between several threads representing each area. That just seems like too much trouble for me. With the sister town option, that gives us a chance for some people to voluntarily change locations, and for new players to move into. Because seriously, we have 18+ ponies in this one town!

Also, I'm okay with clearing the skies.
