My favourite joke is when Vaarsuvius says that as the size of an explosion increases the proportion of social situations remaining unsolved approaches zero and Blackwing tells them that would be wrong. I honestly don't think I could pick a strip. I just flicked through the 4 main-story books and nothing jumped out. Sorry!

Well, I can be pretty kender-like, except I do understand personal property and do not generally take people's things. I also like dressing like a wizard. I don't think I behave too differently online than offline. I'm taller in real life!

I try to treat all words equally well. I found out that no known language has a word for the backs of one's knees, but I get eczema there so I have to talk about them sometimes. So I call them "rachettes". I like that word because I made it up!

There are some words that just aren't nice. I don't like "giblets".
What makes you enthusiastic?
A wide variety of disparate and often not particularly exciting things. Rocks, glitter, Christmas, shopping, IKEA, travelling, the deformation of the lithosphere beneath northern Turkey, colour coding, LGBT Pride, D&D, Playmobil especially Hype The Time Quest, kittens, things that are the wrong size (like doll's house furniture)...
What disappoints you?
People (especially governments (especially especially the Irish government)) making terrible decisions.

Other people's tinny earphones blasting their music. Especially if they listen to rap or techno.

I wouldn't like to be a doctor unless I really had to for some reason, like if there was a small group of people trying to survive some calamity and I was for some reason the best-qualified. Hopefully by way of being the least squeamish, because I'm not squeamish, but it'd be great if one of the other squeamish people knew lots about doctor things, because otherwise I think this group is pretty screwed. But outside of this very unlikely hypothetical scenario, I think being a doctor would be too much pressure. I'd get too upset about people dying and having horrible things wrong with them and probably go mad. Madder.

How’s life at the moment?
Really good! I live with my wonderful partner, I have a fantastic summer job, I won an award at college in the last set of exams, I like my course, I have friends and family. The only things I'm missing are a kitten and a pile of money.

Changes all the time! I like most colours. I am particularly fond of purples and blues and greys.

Strawberries. Little wild ones.

Going to be honest, I had to look that up... My totally-not-made-up-on-the-spot answer is three charcoal-coloured randomly oriented andalusite crystals, because that was the first mineral I learned to identify in the field by myself and reflects my love of geology.

I've met quite a few at GenCon. I would claim to actually know Zeb and Alarra, because we were in touch for real and organised and stayed together at GenCon.

Loosely, that I'm not afraid of what others think of me and am true to myself. It's not totally true, because I am constantly afraid of what others think of me, but I try really hard not to let it stand in my way of being me.

That I'm literally the best person in the world ever, told to me by a group of world leaders, including the Elders, and everyone actually wants to be more like me? I suppose?

Why did you choose your username?
Because my first D&D character was a kender, and it was that D&D game (still going strong!) that was how I heard about OOTS. Also, the idea of a kender wizard is inherently hilarious to me. And it's the kind of thing I'd like to do; successfully build a ridiculous yet adorable character combination.
Why are you in the Playground?
Because for that D&D game, I made models for us to use, as a Christmas present to the group, and I made them cute and stick-figure-like so I could focus on giving them character and cute little props instead of going mad trying to make 6 (at the time, before we had to make second characters!) realistic little people. When I showed them to the group, one of the guys said "They look like Order of the Stick. Is that what you were going for?" and I was like "What's Order of the Stick?". So then I fell in love with the comic, and I looked at the forum to find out Haley's cryptograms because I'm too impatient to do that stuff myself. And after a while, the forum seemed nice and friendly, so I joined. I don't usually join/stay on forums because I get upset when people are mean, even on the internet, but this one's nice, so I'm still here!

Like, two. I'm terrible. I made my normal one in Paint, because I didn't have anything else at the time, and now that I've got all set up, I haven't gotten around to making a proper version on Illustrator. I should do that.
That is the plan! I really hope I can afford to. My partner is big into Warmachine and Hordes (he's a Press Ganger) and they're releasing the new Iron Kingdoms RPG next year, so he definitely wants to as well. Fingers crossed!
What type of chocolate do you prefer?
Cadbury's Dairy Milk. The Irish type, not the British type, which is slightly different. Generally, milk chocolate. The best way to eat chocolate is in the form of Easter Eggs, the bigger the better. The best Easter Egg is Cadbury's Dairy Milk or Mini Eggs in the biggest size, which is about the size of my head.
What type and how many pets do you have?
I don't have any pets. I used to have a beautiful, affectionate, quick, adorable and damn stupid cat. He was amazing and we had a wonderful time together, but he was killed trying to cross the road outside our house. He was only there for eight months but he has a really nice little grave and I wear a cat necklace to remember him by. He was my only pet.
Do you enjoy watching the Weather Channel?
We don't have the Weather Channel here! But I do like watching weather things, because I like maps and the little weather icons are cute.

I study Geology at Trinity College Dublin. I'm going into 4th year. Geology is part of Natural Sciences, so before 3rd year I also did Physics and Maths. I didn't start in Natural Sciences, I started in Theoretical Physics, but I much prefer Geology. RIGHT now, it's summer, so I'm not in classes, but I am doing both my final year project (geologically mapping Howth) and a seismology internship, which I love.

He is awesome! Also, a ninja to my pirate. His first language, from a young age, is the stare: contemptuous, incredulous, exasperated, contented, even excited. I don't really have an answer to this, is what I'm getting at, but I'm in a chatty mood, so I'll instead tell you a story about it:

The first time he came to visit my parent's house, my father was in full intimidation mode, which, given he's a big, heavily armed, glaring man, was nothing to be taken lightly. So, as you can imagine, he didn't talk At All. My mother, who is as chatty as I am, really wanted to talk to him, and she KNEW he was talking to me when the two of us were alone, so she started trying to creep up on us to catch him talking. Luckily, she's not very sneaky, so it wasn't like she was constantly jumping out of improbable hiding spots or anything, because that definitely wouldn't have helped with the whole "Your parents appear to be incredibly scary people" thing!
If you won a lottery for a million dollars (or pounds or Euros or whatever you prefer ), what would you do with the money?
Okay, so, I'm going with euro. Even though pounds (if we're talking sterling) would probably be more, but whatever, I'm going to keep saying "euro" automatically, and it's hypothetical money anyway. I would put almost all of it in the bank, in a savings account with good interest, and live off the interest. I'd rent a really nice city centre apartment close to Trinity, and make them let me have a kitten. I'd travel every holiday: to the States to see boyfriend's family, around Europe, to Asia, on one of those cruises that goes to the Antarctic. I'd buy an electric car and a home cinema system and a really nice sewing machine and a geek chic gaming table. When the time came, I'd buy a really nice house, maybe a Martello tower, maybe just a nice big house with a tower. Definitely towers are involved. I'd want the house in a nice area close to Dublin, on the Dart or Luas line, so I could get into the city easily, but in a self-contained ex-village, like Howth or Dun Laoighre. Also, I'd buy rounds in the pub, which I can't afford to do at the moment.
You obviously play D&D, which editions have you played? Do you have a preference? Do you play any other tabletop RPGs?
My favourite is Pathfinder, probably just from familiarity. I've played 3.5 and 4 of D&D, and I don't like 4th ed. I also like Savage Worlds and Gumshoe. Basically I like any system, provided I play the first time with people who are patient with me learning. I don't think I learn particularly slowly (although I do forget things a lot if I haven't played in a while, and sometimes even if I have...) but I get really tense if everyone else knows the rules and I don't. RPGs are really why I'm a gamer, they're my favourite passtime.
