I'm gonna be against the flow here and say outlined.
What? Everyone else are against the flow too, okay?

it SHOULD, but it didn't work with the Aldran running away with the sandwich gag. In my heart, I wanted the next page to be a bunch of panels with a hallway full of doors, and everyone coming out and past each other, but I will save that for an actual chase scene, I think.

Well, we haven't seen Laris and Lana's old party in a while.
...Come to think of it, who else would the comic be focused on? We'll be leaving both the Ivory Veil and the Anti-Heroes, so the only other characters I can think of are Laris and the adventurers, and they're currently together.

Lateral, what about our favorite Lich? Also, there's that gnome running the amusement park, right? The kobold mega maid. Lots of side characters we could explore more fully.
Here ends the story arc, and I know you all were waiting for this!

When they came in, Eldhin was with them. And Eldhin is smart enough, paranoid enough, and brotherly enough (if you have a brother, you'll get that) to keep Aldran from preparing spells.
The first moment Aldran would have had time to prepare spells after being released from Eldhin's custody would be when they were in the cage, which would take a long while. However, they tried to escape via fireball almost immediately after the guard left. Then they found the door open, and ran off to find the library, where they searched as hard as they could for the scroll, which would take hours.
Where in that would Aldran have sat down and prepared spells?
