I'd rather you call me a dentist, so as to keep his guard down, but beyond that, sure. Bring him in as soon as you can, and I'll be sure to have at least two clones waiting for his arrival.

Another clone comes walking in with a stylish cane, finds the council room, and then sits quietly, slouching back in the chair with his feet up against the table. He then just sorta...sits there for a while.
Hrm...Nobody's here? Didn't anyone else think to create a clone of themselves and permanently station it here so they wouldn't risk missing anything? Really, not a single other person? Bleh...
He glances at a ridiculously shiny, gaudy, and tasteless gold watch on his wrist, and idly wonders if he should suggest that the Council members trade phone numbers or start wearing special SuperCouncil Team communicator bracelets, so everyone knows to rush to the room the next time someone has something to discuss. I mean, this is a terrible system! How is everyone supposed to know he has something important to say, short of calling up each and every organization, one after the other, to let them know? If it can't be done with the press of a single button, it's way more effort than this lazy cyborg can be bothered to put up with.
Lucky for the rest of the Nexus, Magtok has an entourage of Magbots with him, willing and ready to put up with his eccentricities and hatred of doing any sort of actual work. They call up the various organizations, letting them know that Councilman Magtok has a potential solution to the infamous Red Zone problem, and one of them walks out of the room to try to explain this ridiculous cyborg's appearance to the nearest Remnant official, so that Delisle and Vasquez might be reached as well.
I'd rather you call me a dentist, so as to keep his guard down, but beyond that, sure. Bring him in as soon as you can, and I'll be sure to have at least two clones waiting for his arrival.

Magtok frowns, clasps his hands together, and then pulls them back, revealing a long string of addresses and phone numbers scribbled onto piece of paper extending from one palm to the other.

Oh, I remember now! Yeah, Danny Dreadskull! Young fellow, nice guy, rebelling against his father by not going into the necromancy field like family tradition would dictate. Yeah, he'll let me borrow the office for a little while, so long as I don't tell him dad about the disco thing and leave everything how I found it.

Magtok blinks, mumbles a brief apology on behalf of his stupid, clumsy and hopelessly ugly player ((HEY! )), and then slides over to the head of the table, before contacting the others and shoving his player towards the OOC thread, so as to properly alert everyone to the fact that stuff is about to go down.
Oh, and don't forget to tell them I called you ugly! It's really important that you remember to tell them that!
I already did, Magtok. Jeez. Now just sit tight and wait patiently, alright? I think Wolfy might be away for the next few days anyway, so it's not like you'll be getting a definite answer on this matter any sooner if I hurry.
Vasquez, finished with her call to Tobias, comes back to the meeting room to sit and wait.

The guards look at each other before there's a moment of silence as one radios a few messages inside. After a couple minutes, one nods. "Turn in your weapons, and you'll be escorted upstairs."

Magtok stands, clears his throat, does a quick headcount of the folks present, sighs at the thought that he might not be quite as totally important and amazing and significant to everyone else as he is to himself, and decides to begin.
"Ladies, gentlemen, beings who are both here and not here at the same time, empty chairs left by those who couldn't even be bothered to maybe-be here, and globs of deadtime ooze that are just waiting around to snatch me up, welcome. As you all know, we have a problem. It's riiiiiiiight....here." He lifts up his pimptastic cane, and points it at a map of Inside, laid down on the table by a pair of Magbots. More specifically, he points at the Red Zone, which has been colored appropriately to make it obvious even to the most thickheaded Council members what he's indicating.
"Red Zone. It's a dump. I know that for a fact because another me went there twenty minutes ago, just to make absolutely certain it wouldn't magically transform into some glamorous wonderland paradise right before I called this meeting without my knowledge, just to spite me. That other clone of me was offered just about every single kind of love you could possibly imagine by every single kind of loose woman you could imagine. Lizardfolk loving, celestial shagging, half and half with a halfling, knocking boots with a gnome, illithid brainsex, catgirl cuddling, and gods help us all, even elven intercourse." He shudders upon mentioning that last one, looking even more disgusted by that idea than all of the other things he mentioned combined.
"That's not even mentioning the drug offers, or the rampant crime, or the fact that fresh new vampires are known to use it as a blood bank of sorts. So it's with all of that in mind that I have a fresh, new proposal for getting some of the grime off these streets, and for good. It might sound a little crazy, far-fetched, and eccentric, but just bear with me for a moment. Council, if it's alright with you, I would like to open-"
A huge lump of housing complexes disappear on that map, and out jumps a massive glitzy supercomplex. It jumps right off the page and sits there on the table, adorned with all sorts of teeny little neon lights and extravagant fonts. It seems to be "-A CASINO! It's just what we need to revitalize the area! We can get all those filthy hookers real jobs and medical benefits, tidy up some bums and get them running blackjack tables or serving drinks to tourists, and maybe even get this weakened state some much needed revenue through whatever taxes and licenses will be needed to get this ting moving! Best of all though, it'll say MAG right there on the front door, so people will know it's a totally amazing place to spend all their money! Whatta ya think, folks?"
Vasquez listens to the plan, wondering what he's talking about. Unfortunately for her, she was in the middle of a gulp of coffee as the Casino pops up. Suddenly, she's coughing and hacking, coffee dripping from her nose as she winces. "Dammit, that stung." She growls before grabbing a tissue and blowing her nose clear of coffee.
"And I assume most profits go to you?" She asks after the explanation is done and she's thought a while.

The Exalted woman nods, and produces a pair of shining, clearly ornamental(?) daggers from her belt, handing them to the guards. "I trust these will be well cared for during my presence here."
"A casino? Where are all those people supposed to live, the whole area would just get addicted to gambling. I don't think I can approve of this idea Magtok, but I don't think I should give away my judgement too soon. Continue please." She does appear quite dubious to the idea though.
"No no, I can turn an entire part of the city into a casino. And I'm going to prove it, too." Magtok gives Gordon a smirk, swoops over the table and above his fancy diagram, and pulls a piece of the casino right off the map, twirling it about in his fingers. Upon closer examination of the teeny little windows, there seems to be a large number of beds in this building, suggesting that it must be some sort of-
"Employee quarters/hotel. Free room and board for the employees and their families on the lower floors, unless of course they'd rather stay elsewhere. Above them, a pricy place for customers in various states of inebriation! Yep, you heard right, free room and board, just one of the many exciting benefits of working with MagCorp! This will get people out of the housing projects, improving their own station in life, and of course, give wealthier newcomers to the Nexus a nice place to stay their first few nights, if they want something a little more luxurious than a room above Trog's. Eminent Domain laws should ensure that people living on the future grounds of the casino get off fairly well, too." He offers Gordon and Cessie a big, predatory, shark grin, feeling he's just about torn their argument to bits, before tossing the hotel aside and turning towards Vasquez with a much more civil and diplomatic smile.
"A project of this size, of course, is going to be expensive. It'll take me a while to recoup my losses, and I'll need constant vigilance from my security team to ensure that nobody uses any sort of fancy powers or clever tricks to scam the place out of a few trillion pieces of gold, which would set us back even further. Naturally, as founder and owner of this whole thing and as a sort of insurance against whatever might come up, I'll be getting the lion's share of the loot, but if things progress as expected, I'll gradually throw greater and greater percentages of the profits to charity, state projects, gift baskets to our various organizations, gambling anonymous programs, etc. You can even get that in writing if you want, just to ensure I don't go turning my back on what I said and greedily gobble up a mountain of monies."
"So, having said all that, does the Council have any other doubts they'd like me to dispel?"
"Magtok, that's ignoring the fact that not everyone there will want to live in a casino. Besides, that only moving the problem around, that doesn't solve it."
"Gordon, right now they're living with volatile gangs causing havoc in the streets, abusive pimps more or less enslaving women and using their bodies to make a profit, mentally unstable homeless folk that could jump out of the alley one day and gut you with a piece of broken glass, various cults recruiting them to waste their lives away to dark and hateful gods, and more drugs than either of us has ever even heard of before. I'm going to look like a goddamn saint. I'm giving them a way to finally feel like contributing members of society, giving them hope, offering people security from the bleak outside world, giving them the chance to feel like people. All the soup kitchens and homeless shelters in the world can't give them that, but I can."
"It's not the end of all of Red Zone's problems, I'm not a miracle worker obviously, but it'll still get us somewhere. If I can get rid of the pimps, that's one less problem to deal with on the streets. If I get the gang kids pulling real jobs and earning more than they would with a life of crime, then we've clean up yet another issue. The cults might lose popularity if people get to see I'm the genuine thing, the homeless might have a place to stay, and if we're really lucky, folks might even take the money they make with me, get a place to live down in Yellow or Null Zone, and finally escape their shackles by the fruits of their own labor."
"Magtok, I'm going to say this as clear as I can. The only thing that prevents me giving my support fact prostitution will be legal, I can't support it for that reason. I know there already is prostitution on the streets and I don't support that either. But I can't with good conscience give my support to something that gives money to that kind of practice even if it's for 'the greater good'." The sorceress declares.
Vasquez thinks for a moment. "As much as I hate to say this, the idea has merit." She admits. "He's not legalizing prostitution, he's giving them other jobs, probably as card dealers and waitresses, correct?" She asks with an eyebrow raised slightly. "That said, those "cults" you mentioned, the Order of Cunningham is going to be setting up in the area, an orphanage from what they tell me, so we'll have to find a feasible spot away from that."

Dipsnig remains silent for a good while. It seems digesting the idea takes him a while. As loathe as I am to admit it, this idea does have merit... as long as we very carefully monitor everything Magtok does at the very least. This is too big and too vital to leave in the hands of any one person.

Magtok reaches into a pocket, pulls out a notepad, and jots "NOTE TO SELF: NO PROSTITUTION - REPLACE WITH SHOWGIRLS AND COCKTAIL WAITRESSES AND STUFF" down in it, before turning back to his assembled audience with a faint smile. "Right...so if I find a new location, guarantee that no prostitution goes on within the Gambling League of Gambling, and allow for check-ups from undercover government inspectors every now and then to make sure I'm keeping my nose out of trouble, then I've got the Council's blessing to go ahead with this?"
"As long this casino doesn't degrade women I suppose I approve of it." The sorceress says with a raised hand. "I'll make sure to keep a watch on you though Magtok, don't disappoint me for going along with this crazy scheme of yours."
"You'll have to work with the local organizations of course. Dalachrech, Masks, The Order, the Fortress-Sanctuary...all of them. And don't presume everyone will look on you favorably once it's built. It is a Casino after all, in Red Zone of all places." She tells him. "And if it ends up causing instability in the region instead, then it'll have to go, but I'm sure you know that already."
