Draziw does not waste time, and follows Crane as fast as he can. With a gesture he moves the light farther south, into the room.
When he sees the creatures he spokes an arcane word and a small spark is created on the surface of his orb. Draziw brings it to his head and blows it away with a smile.
When the spark reaches the undead it explodes in a burst of fire, pushing them from their feet.

Hearing the sounds of battle, Verin rushed to his allies' aid. As soon as he turned the corner into the hallway, it was clear that the creatures ahead were undead (and who would know better than one who was undead himself?) He groaned under his breath, knowing full well that his life-draining attacks would have little effect on those who were already dead.

Draziw moves out into the opening to the room containing the zombies and moves his light spell in amongst them before creating a blast of fire that drops three of the creatures to the ground, one of which ceases to move.
Verin then rushes forward as well but his attack is unable to penetrate the mind of the animated dead.
Three of the corpses rush forward and slam into Crane, drawing blood from his body.

Sorry for the very long delay. Got caught up at work yesterday, and had a long day today.
Verin steps forward into the room but is unable to draw the zombie to him. Reeve follows him into the room but is able to strike the undead creature causing bits of its decaying flesh to slough off. Sgian-dubh advances as well, but remains behind the others to attack, missing as well.
The two zombies are finally able to close with the heros. The first slams into Reeve, managing to stagger him slightly. The second reaches out with its arms to enfold Crane within its grasp.

Reeve frowns a bit as his allies' attempts to harm the weakened zombie fall short. I haven't done so well today either... he reminds himself as he readies his spear, striking forth at the zombie once again, hoping to prolong the enemy's vulnerabilities.

Crane, those fists are lethal! jokes Reeve as he wipes the zombie-goo from the blade of his greatspear.
Everyone, let's stick close and explore. My ears suggest we'll be walking for a while -- the clamor of battle still echoes through the hallways. Those that can see in this infernal darkness are out front. Crane and I will be right behind you. If you spot something, fall back!
Take nothing for granted here -- we've seen the goblins spring traps on us already. There's no telling what else we'll find.
