And use those projects to further artistic skills.

The prince is here. I wasn't taking a long time because of designing him. I finalized about a week ago. But man, school work, like 4-5 hours of sleep a weeknight, kept from designing the comic itself. Luckily, I have more time to actually sketch out comics, so I have the layout/storyboards for the next three comics or so, as well. Maybe they'll come out soon.
Plus Ben's pants came out ok.
Also now that his name has been released:

You were so close. Thank you Felyndiira for the names. Though they are not the name you suggested.
Their original names were going to be Aurelie and Benoit. Yep. French.
Re: Tales of Revelia: JRPG-styled Fantasy Webcomic
This prince is too competent. Make him act like Zelos or something! Will he be using *insert Symphonia magic here*? Weak Lighting or that stone blast thing? How about Nurse??

Yay1!!
The pants look fine as of now. No intense action scenes with the Prince so far. As long as there isn't any scenes with Ben flying through the air with a spinning-jump-kick-magic-casting slash, there is nothing to worry about.

UPDATE! and cliffhanger...
Finally do we see the nice and humble-ish prince.
And he is a magician (I'm guessing Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn influence).
Is it just me or does his hair have a weird thing on the front center?

Not really, more of a magic knight, which is sort of rare for a JRPG protagonist (don't go proving me wrong now).
As for the hair, it's like those anime characters that have a different colored fluff of hair in the front of their head. Examples are out there I just can't find them.

Not necessarily just healing magic.
To answer Sheep and anyone who has played Symphonia: Up to Medium level magic artes. I haven't decided which elements he can use yet, but I'll be using Symphonia's elements.

Happy days are ahead. And Zelos isn't a protagonist now? Could have fooled me. Alternate dimension protagonists, AWAY!

If you've ever played the old Lufia series of games, it might be similar. The hero was the primary healer of the group. It didn't mean he wasn't also the guy who equipped swords and did damage.
I think the pants look really good, obviously they fit in with the extra detail you've given to the other clothes. It did make me notice, though, that his feet face in opposite directions while Aria's both face the same direction. Turns out that applies to most other characters too, the pants just drew attention to it!

The second bit could be clarified by saying that Aria's battle pose is more straight, her hips are only slightly bent, while Ben stands more horizontal in our view, so his legs, instead of Aria's looking like this _ --, Ben stands like | \ while turning sideways. (Right foot, left foot)

He's not Lloyd, if you were talking about in that context. He is part of the party of protagonists, yes.
Re: Tales of Revelia: JRPG-styled Fantasy Webcomic
I got an sudden dislike for Ben when I saw his banner, I don't really know why but it has something to do with the way he held his sword behind his back, sort of half-concealing it in an nonchalant way, had that smug look on his face and the way of speaking which I've come to associate with teenagers being haughty/pompous/complacent at adults.
Sure I immediately jumped to the worst possible conclusion, and I missed that he held his sword in a more useful fashion than I thought. He seemed more sympathetic on-screen.
Re: Tales of Revelia: JRPG-styled Fantasy Webcomic
Dang, I did a bad job drawing his arms in front of his waist. I was so sure that you can't hold a large sword like that behind your back in that way. I can see what you mean though, and will be fixing that up later today, because it's 3 in the morning.
Also, I always assumed that my banners didn't have the character's character in mind, given all the fourth wall breaking to things outside the Tales universe as opposed to commenting on the games' system. I can see what you mean though, and will make my banner characters act more like their in-comic characters, because banners are a representation of my comic to people who have not yet read it, and I would like for that first impression to "Ben does not equal Belkar".

He is the other worlds version of Colette but the hero of world so more like Lloyd with a popular-Colette status and blah blah hes a protagonist. So is Regal. Of their own stories. Which they tell you. Lloyd swears too much to be a primary protagonist anyway. Its obviously Genus whose the main character!

Re: Tales of Revelia: JRPG-styled Fantasy Webcomic
I can see the conflict.
You are on Giantitp, it redirects you to Giantitp. At least GenGame is hosted somewhere else, but I already know that I will never host anywhere else in a formal webcomic manner. I like the forum discussion feel. Plus I'm not popular enough to warrant an ad.
Wait until I get more characters out, or at least one major boss that's not the first one. Actually, according to how I've planned it out... at least 10 more strips until the next major plot related stuff happens. Of course a splash page of all the characters would be nice. So far, I've got 3-4 character designs finalized, two of which you have already seen.
About characters too, now that Ben is out, I can post my hand-drawn version of him. I'll ink it sometime and post it this weekend.

I'm writing something i'm planning to make a webcomic, and I've got character designs in my head, but I can't assign a fitting name to either of the characters...
It's really quite annoying to think of the female necromancer as... the female necromancer

Meh, depends if the character is memorable and does cool stuff with an interesting backstory and *insert important details here*. A good name does mean alot though, if Belkar was called Theadore Pellington the 5th, I don't think he'd be as popular.

And you're already swamped with school work. If it were the summer you would be able to meet the desires of the "ravenous" readers. I understand your pain. I just want you to be more popular.
You don't have to be more popular to have an ad. You create the ad in order to BECOME popular. I'm just trying to do you a service TK. Fellow asians gotta help each other. (I actually made an account on project wonderful.) <___<
Anywhere else my efforts could be used on?
