Re: Tales of Revelia: JRPG-styled Fantasy Webcomic
This is a good comic so far, keep them coming when you're able!

It was basically this advertisement that was online for about three hours on the USA interwebs before the $2 bid got completely demolished by what you currently see on the leaderboard.

Re: Tales of Revelia: JRPG-styled Fantasy Webcomic
Ahahahaha. Well thanks, it got me 8 new posts to keep to the thread alive. I should be finishing college stuff soon, seeing as app month for UCs are only in November.
As for the comic, I'm just a little more or less stuck on the second half or random banter taking place in the comic. "What should it be?", that kind of thing. That's one reason the dungeons will end up being pretty short because JRPG's are kinda boring when nothing's going on or everyone's just level grinding. Things only get exciting when something new happens, but I still have to find something to fit in between all of the interesting stuff.
In other related news, I got a fancomic done as part of the Draw Your Friend's Fancomic thread. Check it out and appreciate it if you've watched "The Princess and the Frog".
Re: Tales of Revelia: JRPG-styled Fantasy Webcomic
In your opinions, what makes a comic worthy of having its own website? Anti-Heroes has it's own site, Failing Saves failed its save and didn't get one, and the single greatest fancomic right now in terms of total content, Murphy's Law, is 162 comics strong and still on these forums.

Being able to survive the transition, basically.

Being GOOD. Like Bug. The comic doesn't need to update every day, or every week. It just needs to be strong enough and/or (mostly and, ) funny enough to get people to read it. I don't think Revelia should get its own site, or any fancomics* done in the OotS style.
*AntiHeroes is special. It has angel-demons.
P.S. What, no special Holiday edition? For SHAME. (read as "BLAURGH COMIC NAOW)

I see, and no holiday yet because I don't consider it the right time yet, despite what I call early holiday festivities.
They will go in a separate section, which also reminds me to update the fanart section.
Re: Tales of Revelia: JRPG-styled Fantasy Webcomic
So... where's that comic you promised for thanksgiving break?

The changes soon, I will try to make the time they spend in dungeons and random battles go faster, so that they will be less boring and thus I can fit multiple random encounters in a single comic to simulate grinding. Expect to see battles going from first hit, sixth hit, victory screen. Big fights will still be their normal length, and also battles in which I want it to be long because of something, usually a character trying a new spell or a series of new artes.
I'm done with apps, but finals loom. However, the ToRv has finally been revived.
Re: Tales of Revelia: JRPG-styled Fantasy Webcomic
...Nope, too obscure for me.
In case the rest of you were wondering, Tales of goes a step up and has Orange Gels heal 30% of your max TP. They are perfectly fine and still used near the endgame.
Makes perfect sense so that you don't end up having 999 potions, only to find that they only heal 50 HP of your 5000 HP character. And he's one of four characters in the party.
I'm gonna be against the flow here and say outlined.
What? Everyone else are against the flow too, okay?

Re: Tales of Revelia: JRPG-styled Fantasy Webcomic
Guys, I'm planning a minor retcon of all the town names so far. Expect to look back at earlier comics at find that a name has been changed.
I want to make them simpler, more JRPG and less WRPG. The name Eversun has been bugging me for a while. Belcastia will become Belcast, but the king's last name will remain the same. Future place names will stick to a simpler JRPG style.
