So when do we see the offensive magic user?
Next actually, though stuff happens first. My plot is feeling very Abyss-ey right now, as you can seem from ligers as the first boss, so expect something along the lines of that.

So Ben and Aria are gonna get their asses handed to them, then get rescued by an older enigmatic aggravating-to-them-but-so-much-fun-for-us-to-watch man who's several orders of magnitude stronger then them until he gets most of his magical abilities sealed and is knocked down to their level?
Re: Tales of Revelia: JRPG-styled Fantasy Webcomic
Yeah, he's probably touring several colleges right now, since it's spring break in most school districts. You should see my campus right now; tour groups everywhere.
Re: Tales of Revelia: JRPG-styled Fantasy Webcomic
Yeah, if you like a group, do something memorable for them. Idiotic demonstration, overdramatic videogame ragequit complete with storming out of the dorm, SOMETHING hilarious. You'll get the fun ones. And the boring ones will be to busy laughing to register.

Re: Tales of Revelia: JRPG-styled Fantasy Webcomic
Sadly I live off-campus now (fourth year, gonna graduate in less than a month ). I can't ragequit a game. Though I do know a lounge where I play on the internet sometimes that tours do pass through...
Re: Tales of Revelia: JRPG-styled Fantasy Webcomic
Do you think the Church in Tales of Revelia is morally ambiguous?
- They wanted peace but they are willing to massacre an entire village to enforce the peace in land.
Just thinking since most groups that tried to create Peace in RPGS (Both western and Eastern) turned into Extremists who will do anything to preserve it.

Re: Tales of Revelia: JRPG-styled Fantasy Webcomic
I got into a bunch of University of California's, but the school I'm going to go to is UC San Diego, Eleanor Roosevelt College. No private colleges for me, and I wanted to stay local simply because it made my choices easier.
I'm still alive and so is this comic, just trying to find time to work on the comic between school work. It's senior year and whereas other seniors can relax I chose to take AP classes, so my workload is still heavy.
As for the Church of Ico, just know that there a bit of a conspiracy going on that will be explored later. Lots of powers at work, resulting in what you see. Also it could just be that I delivered their role incorrectly in my writing. No they aren't evil or morally ambiguous. I guess as of right now, the majority of them are just being Miko, Lawful Stupid, or at least they appear to be. Wait and see, which I understand is hard seeing as a comic hasn't come out in several weeks. Working on it.
In the meantime enjoy this large and detailed final version of Aria's default costume:

Re: Tales of Revelia: JRPG-styled Fantasy Webcomic
Ok guys, final stretch for me. Next two weeks are AP testing weeks; those of you who live in America will understand. The week after is finals, then I'm officially done with high school.
After that, the comics should start rolling again. Thank you for everyone for their patience. And by the end of this I should have plenty of "concept art" to show as drawing/sketching/doodling is something more time-friendly that I can do that is still related to the comic.

Ooh, good luck Teutonic. And readers, expect a deluge of updates--in the month between AP tests and finals I literally only had 3, maybe 4 classes left that met. I brought my laptop and DS into school and got a new comic up every 2 or 3 days.
Re: Tales of Revelia: JRPG-styled Fantasy Webcomic
Nice to see Final Fantasy version of OOTS (except the parodies made by Rich). I kinda like it even though I prefer WRPGs (especially Skyrim and other flash games).

Will get to work immediately. Expect the new comic up sometime next week.
No. Go be senior with your senior friends. THEN, after realizing you won't see half the ones you liked until the reuinion, then you can work on the comic and save us from this wait.

Sorry about the whole "sometime next week thing." I've been away from my computer the past week with my mom making my costume for FanimeCon which I then went to for the last four days. So now that it's over I could get to finishing the comic.
And now, after school is over and tests are over and the pressure of college acceptance is over (going to UCSD, just notified that they moved me into a bio major) I can finally continue my hobbies, building gunpla, playing video games, and creating the world of Tales of Revelia and the comics that go with it.
As for what's going on, remember that Aria and Ben are in a boss battle right now, which should wrap up in the next comic. After this, I plan to speed through as the story for the next 10-20 or so comics has just been sitting patiently in my head. Remember that's what I PLAN to do. What will happen remains to be seen.
Also I updated the first page with another Kasanip sketch from several weeks ago featuring Aria that I guess counts as fanart. It's good to know that even through a dead stretch of several months people still care.
Re: Tales of Revelia: JRPG-styled Fantasy Webcomic
Let's get betting on who will die first (Well, we want to see the Phoenix Down effect on very dead players)? Ben vs Arya

Re: Tales of Revelia: JRPG-styled Fantasy Webcomic
No we is not dead. Comic should be coming out later today.
Also, I can't believe no one pointed out Aria sword sticking out of the border near the bottom right of the latest comic. Check it out before I fix it.
Also Mutant Sheep, the Liger will not defeat our heroes. Obviously I have a much longer story in mind. And gunpla is a hobby involving turning plastic parts into a mecha model kit.
If all goes well, the next 27 planned comics will be all exposition. So we'll get a 3 new characters, 2 will be part of the party, and some details about the world geography, layout, energy system, a certain ring (when it appears, don't spoil it for people who don't know Tales games please), etc.
And looks like the all-important Tales skits will be making an appearance. Just stuff to look forward to.

27 planned comics...
That's... a lot....
Also, YAY! for skits and the revivification of the comic.
