So what would you say are the 3 best spells for a combat focused sorcerer? I Personally like Magic Jar, Wall of Stone and Draconic Polymorph.
The first gives you a enemies body to get in trouble with.
The second is for making a stone that can crush a ogre, just shrink it and throw.
The last gives a fighter a huge stinkin damage bonus.
Luck Blessed: My most recent homebrew (new as of mid May 2013).
If anybody is ever interested in playing one of my homebrewed base classes let me know, I'd love to see some of them in play and would try to run a game for it.
These are not only the top three Sorcerer spells for their offensive and defensive capability, but they're also truly Sorcerer spells, in that they're only on the Sorcerer list (and not on the Wizard list).

This, pretty much. I never, ever make a sorcerer without at least the Wings of X line.
Limited Wish is the best sorcerer spell.
I'd say Glass Strike is a good one, being a ranged fort-targeting save-or-die that works on undead. Frostfell is super-sickhouse, especially with Arcane Spellsurge.

There is little arguing with that. Once you have the choice of casting four spells per round or casting two spells per round and denying one attack per round, well, whatever you do with your spells will be good.
