Re: Togo's Planar Adventure set partly in Sigil (OOC)
Init - (1d20+9)[21]
I assume, Togo, regardless of the scent issue, he should hear the man as he declares he's going to kill Derk? The distance is 25' from the corridor to the front of the wardrobe, and I assume he doesn't whisper.

...That teaches me to never again read the OoC before IC. So, it is funny, huh? And I am going to get killed. Great.

Oh goodness yes. You're just outside an open door, and you have ears like a bat. Assume you can hear everything.
Anyone in the corridor will also be aware that a fight has started, either because they can hear, or because they can see Rhion react.
Re: Togo's Planar Adventure set partly in Sigil (OOC)
Since my initiative was, as usual, pretty low I will wait and see what the abbot does. Most likely Derk will end up trying to solve this through the application of blunt force trauma.
My AC is currently 41 (40 flat-footed) and I am at 160hp.

Re: Togo's Planar Adventure set partly in Sigil (OOC)
(1d20+5)[6] initiative for Umbriel.
EDIT: Never mind. I'm just going to hang out in this corridor here.
Mmm. Cleric in full plate and shield? Did I memorize Brilliant Aura today? ... yes, yes I did
Also, Togo, awesome NPCs as usual (sorry I haven't been reacting much, I'm traveling and have been pretty busy)

Of course, by the time my turn rolls around there may be either other things to do or nothing to do at all! We'll see.

Seconded. I suspect that the proximity of a demonic presence to this group will resolve the question soon enough, but I'm tremendously enjoying the ride in the meantime.

I don't suppose someone could sneak-attack the succubus while I'm arguing with her?

Wow, send that amount of damage to a PC at this time of night... You might have the flu, but had I botched that save I am sure I would have gotten less sleep than you .
Also, guys: Kill that guy, fast!

Re: Togo's Planar Adventure set partly in Sigil (OOC)
Ok, we need to wait a bit and allow for others (including the abbot) to act, so I will roll my Fort save here. I am also rolling a spellcraft and knowledge religion check, Togo. I am very curious to learn what is going on here, the spiders, the runes, the evil aura eating my blows...I am also getting a minor suspicion that I am doing him a favour bashing him.
Fort save:
[roll]120+21[/roll] (I am immune to poison....guessing this is something else, but maybe wise to add).
Re: Togo's Planar Adventure set partly in Sigil (OOC)
Well, if it is any consolation, if you're going to fail a save, that's not a bad choice. Failing the last one would have been worse...
Ok, can you tell me what -3 strength does to the damage of your 2nd and 3rd blows please? (EDIT- nevermind, I see it)
Derk
Spoiler
Spellcraft - is too low to identify even 0th level spells.
Knowledge religion....
Ok, first off you're aware that channeling (turn/rebuke undead attempts) can be turned to other purposes, to provide short-term boosts and blessings, or to put curses or banes on opponents... He was definitely aiming at you at the start there, but you've not felt any ill effects.
Secondly, you've heard of a branch of magic called pact magic. Similar to infernal pacts, you basically make a formal agreement with your deity or higher power, and receive some kind of blessing or aid as soon as the set conditions are reached. Since the whole thing is set up in advance, you don't need to do anything, or have any connection to the deity, at the time the pact is invoked. (Basically, it works out as a high level cleric spell, perm until discharged, discharges on the conditions being met)

I wasn't going to bring this up, but since you did it and are recalculating stuff: My damage for all three blows was 2 too low (as a matter of fact, for all blows I did in this campaign: I never updated my damage with the Greater Magic Weapon). Sorry about that, I noticed it while recalculating my damage with the strength penalty. So, the damage of my three attacks was:
1: +2
2: -1
3: -1
Which, assuming I hit 3 times, evens out nicely .
