Here's a thought. In the movie the realization Luke and Leia being siblings was something of a surprise, but literally being present when the characters were born and named the players should be well aware of that from the beginning, right?
And they don't know who Vader is, so the 'Luke I am your father' scene, if it plays out that way at all will still be perfect. Though I suspect they'll twist it somehow.

I wasn't aware the people from Darths and Droids were fans of OoTs .
Of course they are!
If there's one thing I've learned since I joined the (RPG related) internet, it's that everything and everybody has a connection somehow.

Not always. The Death Eaters, Batman Begins' Scarecrow, Madara, all of them bad guys.
I don't know about the scarecrow but the Death Eaters were a band of mooks, so they don't count and as for "Madara"... well, I'm alone with my opinion on that one.

It's called the Six Degrees of TvTropes.
One of the writers of Darths+Droids also writes/wrote Irregular Webcomic.
Irregular Webcomic frequently linked to TvTropes.
GITP and TVTropes have been co-associated for some time.
Thus, we are 3 Degrees of TvTropes apart from Darths + Droids.

Merely misunderstood.

It's like ninjas. A solitary masked person is either good or an antihero (and invincible), a mass of masked people are evil minions. Vader belongs to the largest exception to this rule - the evil mastermind's thug sidekick.

But he is also a corrupted/redeemed hero. How does that adjust things?

Madara? That's true. (as I recall: been a while since I saw the relevant plot details) Scarecrow? Perhaps, especially since he's pretty much a drug dealer with ties to the League of Shadows (in Batman Begins). The Death Eaters? Lol, no. Please tell me if you want explanation on this, because I will happily expound at length about the depths of the Death Eaters' despicability.

Merely makes it more probable that he's the villain's right-hand man. If you've corrupted a great hero (or whatever Anakin was) who can slaughter anyone else in your employ in personal combat, why wouldn't you make him your personal enforcer?

They're the magical British aristocratic KKK. I don't think this needs any more detail than that.

Darths and Droids links to TVTropes a lot too.
Like here. So, are we therefore only two degrees away from Darths and Droids? Or does having the writer be a part of these forums make it only 1 degree?
Or maybe I'm just overthinking this.

The Death Eaters are a bit touched in the head, enough so that they cannot function properly in the world and as such lash out violently at any threat, real or imagined, but they particularly favor one which exists only in their minds. Mass hysteria plus a lack of adequate mental health services, my friend.
Also known as a joke. I know they're villains. In a fairly black and white sort of universe, at that. They really aren't allowed to be misunderstood by their author.

What is that old saying about not splitting up the party?
I like the DM's "Uh huh."
You just need to split your party suffciently until they are basically all doing solo adventures... makes scheduling much easier if you can meet them one at a time.

Of course - you, as a GITP poster, will always be 2 degrees apart from TvTropes. The only way to be closer is being a trope editor.

Yes, they will probably meet Ben on Tatooine.
C-3P0 calls Leia 'Princess'. Doesn't he know her real name, or is that her real name?
And of course R2-D2's famous dreadnought. That was Grievous' ship, right?

I missed out on the new episodes and only just caught up, but I'm still thinking about who's going to play whom. Since we know Jim will have to switch to a new character, and so is Annie since Leia is about to get captured, the next characters to be introduced will need to go to them and those are Luke and old Obi-Wan. I can see Annie picking up Obi-Wan and Jim taking Luke: the interactions of Annie trying to teach Jim the ways of the Force alone would be hilarious. That way she'll also get to switch back to Leia after Obi-Wan dies.
Then we have Han and Chewbacca, and Ben still hasn't shown up yet, so I think it's likely that when he does show up he'll play Han. Chewie could go numerous directions though; could be a new player, could be an NPC, could be Sally switching characters again, heck it could even be Pete making a new combat monster character (who still can't speak) because he's fed up with not getting his precious dreadnaught he so clearly deserves.
Obi-Wan is Ben's character. Ben has played Obi-Wan continuously since the first strip and has never played another character - why do you think he'll stop now?
