I'm guessing this, and he will give up on trying to make his own characters, take over Han, and be epic from there on out.

Where does it say Obi knows that Anakin became Vader? For all he knows, Anakin died in the lava, no?

Are you responding to a deleted post, or are you thinking Ben's acting out of character?

Because he never mentions that Anakin is still alive. He knows Anakin's the traitor, he had Anakin's lightsaber, and he knew who Luke was. That's it.

There's a porn parody of Star Wars in which Ben tells Luke the truth about his father: "He was a young Jedi apprentice until I cut off his arms and legs and left him to burn to death in a lake of lava". At which point, Luke whines, "I wanna go home now". And really, who could blame him.

And no, I haven't seen the parody, but there was a SFW trailer that I have seen.

I love the way these guys know each other, and can pick up on each other's improvisations and roll with them.

Then again in a game with Jim, Annie, and Sally, that's kind of a vital survival trait.

Holy heck, I cant believe ben missed it. That was obvious foreshadowing of a PC that will be involved eventually. I mean, he was right, and the DM doesnt do these npc dialogues when there arent any players to hear them.

More importantly, Jim is still dead on the floor. It's the little touches like this that make D+D stand out.

Heh yeah, he sure is taking his sweet time thinking up another new character. I know he likes his rp now, but really, join in on the fun!

But a good character needs time... you can't just rush one out because you died.

I personally don't think it's good to let characters know things they don't witness themselves... of course they can eavesdrop on the enemy but just knowing what happens elsewhere... nah, I'd never do that. Well, split parties not withstanding, of course.

The D+D group has always been great at separating IC/OOC knowledge. I've always enjoyed how they've portrayed it in the comic.

Nice that there's still that space french accent there.

Are we talking about the same D+D group?
Some of them yes, Ben and Annie definitenly, Sally most of the time. But Pete? And while Jim got better, but he'd still use it.

It makes sense that if they wanted to keep Luke safe, they wouldn't only change his name, but also put him in the care of more than capable protectors.

Plus, the clone troopers are rubbish.

Hmm, so Owen and Beru died because their guns jammed thanks to dust contaminated oil? I wonder who should be blamed for that?

Oh right, Sally.
