You know, while Pete says that's 'there's a perfectly good superweapon in orbit, just waiting for someone to take command' the Peace Moon/Death Star isn't built just yet, so there is no superweapon at the present moment.
Just a little something that bugged me. But then, he just might be caught up in the idea of owning a superweapon.
Is he referring to what is "smelting" Naboo? See here.

As someone who met his wife over D&D, and who finds a real in-character groove to feel almost transcendental, the last couple of episodes were beautiful.

Well, yesterdays advice really ties in well with the current adventure I'm running which might have my players a) fight each other and b) be part of an evil government taking over a city. Well... they don't get a peace moon but you can't have anything.
But yeah, unless you picked Paladin, or some other restrictive class, alignment is just something to show to the authorities to proof whatever you do is legit.
Im just glad the grand battle has finally started. Im hoping that obi wans levels in some form of combat type come into play over anakins diplomancer build. "You cant win anakin! You have a diplomancer build and im full combat!" "You underestimate my power!" /leap /fwoom /slash /scream. "Hmm, guess his last bluff roll didnt work out for him?"

Interesting that Yoda had to be angry for Palpatine to use Force Drain (similar to Anakin getting angry before Dooku used it on him). Only Sith ever use lightning / drain so this requires the Jedi to be the angry ones, whereas in the movies the Sith were the angry guys. Weird but fun reversal.

Well here, the Sith never actually existed. It was something that Anakin made up to create paranoia among everyone. Force Lightning in this comic is a general jedi power made for defense, which is why it works only against an angry opponent.

Yeah, I was speaking in movie categories in reference to the Sith. In terms of the films' categories, it is a reversal.

The episode I've been looking forward to for a long time is when Obi-Wan finally defeats Anakin. I always thought that was really poorly handled in the actual movie ("Well, I've cut three limbs off of my friend/brother figure, and now his mutilated body is catching fire as he slowly sinks toward a river of lava. Guess I'll just leave him there to suffer a horrible, agonizing death instead of trying to save him or mercifully end his suffering"). So, I'm really interested in how they end up portraying that scene, which should be coming up pretty soon!
Yeah, in this one anakin doesnt seem to have fully embraced being evil. He has justifications for all his actions, he seems knocked off balance by what happened with padme, (while movie anakin just went, "meh" and moved on to trying to kill his best friend/brother) and he doesnt seem certain how to act. I like it.

Been entirely too long since I was saw that movie.... I don't really recall what happened but I don't care that much either.
But yeah, it's enjoyable in the comic.
Though, I guess gaming related, PCs really have a hard time giving up, mostly because most often the GM is kind enough not to kill them if unprovoked) and thus they don't give up. (e.g. recently another player in my round was stumbling through some shabby alleys late at night and got mugged by two people which honestly would have killed him easily. But instead of giving up he seriously started a fight and because our GM is just too nice actually got away)
Wait, the Sith never existed? What happened to Yoda's comment to Obi Wan?
I believe the "Sith" legend was part of that huge packet of notes and such that Annie gave the GM upon taking over Anakin as a character.

Or, possibly, Annie just decided to exploit an existing legend.

lol Sally is by far my favorite character. "Calm and excited at the same time," plus the Hulk reference... great stuff. She used to annoy me with how she was a different character every other comic but she's been really great as Yoda.

Somehow... I expected even better from Sally vs DM. Until I saw panel 2.

I think D&D is one of the best webcomics around and even though Ben just had his most epic line since, I'm getting a bot tired of the prequels. But it's almost over now.
Will we get Episode 4 next? It would be great to see them play new characters and maybe have a new player or two. (And Pete insisting on reusing his min-maxed character. )
The random background generator is awesome. I got a NG dwarven magus who was involved in a "pleasure" scandal with some arcane experiment backfire as well. My imagination is running off with that.

Yep, te Original trilogy is next. Not exactly sure how far away but it's definitely gonna happen.
