I just noticed that the wight in the last panel of 700 is Isamu.

Well, maybe Tsukiko thought Isamu's outfit looked cute and had her wights play dress-up with it?

There's also the Revive Undead spell in Libris Mortis, a book Tsukiko would like. Plus she was capable of sixth-level arcane spells. (Though the simplest answer is that Rich forgot or ignored that rule about rereanimating undead.)
Something I noticed: Sabine seems much happier than Nale about Zz'dtri's return in #822. Perhaps they have a friendship similar to Haley and V's?

That would mirror Nale being more concerned about Thog and Elan liking Roy.

Eh? When has Nale ever shown the slightest shred of concern for Thog? In the blueprint for his plan to capture Julia in #255, he estimated an 84% of the anvil hitting Thog and considered this acceptable...as far as Nale is concerned, Thog is just a giant meat shield.

I think they meant how Nale was the one to ask about what happened to Thog in the strip in question.
But really, it's the opposite - it's Thog that's concerned about Nale.
I do agree that Sabine's reaction there was kind of interesting.

Isn't he still doing that? If I write a letter to my mother, are I not contacting my mother?
I think the reason has to do with... well, formality. If I'm going to try and kindly ask my esteemed leader for permission to return home despite his earlier wishes, I don't want to do it in 25 words or less. He's probably well aware he'll have a much higher chance of success if he goes through the proper, traditional channels.
I imagine suddenly Sending at someone might be kind of rude, if it's your esteemed superior. Like barging into his throne room or something. He could be doing literally anything, and Durkon's image just appears and starts asking to come home. During council, or prayer? Oops.
This isn't relevant to why they didn't think of it, but still bears mentioning; the high priest was dead at that point anyway. Durkon wouldn't have a target, not knowing the new high priest.
Re: Things you never noticed II: I never noticed the first thread
Something I hadn't realized in 800 until I re-read the description for Phantasmal Killer: this spell only target one person.
Which mean that Zz'dtri wasn't trying to kill both V and Yuckyuck. He was targetting Yuckyuck specifically (which make sense tactically, as V would have a much better Will save than the kobold). No wonder Y was angry.

Elan is playing the lute for Haley's search skill in the first panel of the latest strip

Well, this isn't really an in-comic thing, but I realized it just now and thought it was a cool thing I noticed so here it is.
Tsukiko was totally like Misa Amane.
Perky gothic pigtail chick in love with the main bad guy? Check. Has great powers of her own, which she uses all for the benefit of loved one? Check. Bad guy totally ignores her despite knowledge that she loves him? Check. Is closer friends with magical monsters (wights, shinigami) than most humans? Check.
And...
Spoiler
Dies at the end in a death scene that is specifically related to love? Check.

Of course I'm alive, you moron. What I can't figure out is how you didn't KNOW I was alive the whole time. You're the bard, surely you should have known that when the bad guy dies off-screen, he's not really dead unless you see the body. And half the time, not even then.
Re: Things you never noticed II: I never noticed the first thread
Go read panel two and three of Comic 60 out loud. Remember, the conventional way comics are read means you read Yikyik last in panel 2, then Roy first in panel three.

Yes, I really quoted myself and put it in my signature. You can't honestly say you never thought something you said was so awesome you wanted to make it into a quote and put it in your signature, can you?

Okay, maybe you can.
Why did I buy Teleporking.com? I have no idea. Am I rich yet?
Re: Things you never noticed II: I never noticed the first thread
I would love to see more of Cpt. Axe. In only two panels he established himself as a character archetype.
In 822, panel 8, Nale gives Malack a raspberry face after he submits to Tarquins rebuke that "this is business".
I am more impressed at that moment than any other that Malack was able to restrain himself from gutting Nale alive. I certainly wanted to do so -- it makes killing his children seem like it was all a childish prank in Nale's mind.
