My book is OLD, as in I have to treat it carefully. So the more modern name meanings aren't in there.

I meant my actual name.

Middle is one that's listed.

I actually named Mike from his namesake archangel, but I like "Who is like God?" a lot more :P.

I find the meaning of Danielle hilarious in reference to the character and Gerald has more then earned (the receiving end) of his name! Chet(win) is a very colorful name, I like it, it has a meaning and a story behind it.

And protector of man kind works fine. Men belong to mankind after all.

My real name means "Gift of earth" which I find very appropriate as I study biology :).

Edit: Penguinator: I deleted the DP, didn't notice it as it was between two different pages >_<

Tinsley means "cliff." Presumably because you'll want to jump off one if you spend more than 5 minutes with him.

Wow, interesting. It actually might make perfect sense if the forest she lived in was a forest of ash trees, then the name would be literal and meaningful.

Usually when I'm naming a character, I'll think of something that describes them, translate it into an appropriate-sounding language, and then change it so it sounds like a name.

Brios Risa=(Son)risa Brios(a)=Lively Grin

And now you'll picture everything he says with a Spanish accent.

I find that the more questionable of the Protect the Prince character names work perfectly well in the ironic sense, since Layla is bright and cheery, and Elizabeth is a sadist despite her occupation and name.

I think Chelsea's name fits perfectly for her; a port is where ships seek safety from big storms, and she has a strong protective streak, where the invading cultists and anything that may bloom as the plot continues could be called one nasty storm.

Anyways, I'm perfectly fine with this plan. Sorry for the delay, I've been fighting a cold and poor weather (read: power outages).

I laughed when I found out Elizabeth's and Layla I just kept going No! and laughing too...
