"You do understand that much, yes?" Kern adds, to the worg. "By simply attempting to seek revenge by any means, you would only lower your standing further."
Kern shrugs in reply to Drace, handing him a share of the food. "Well, I wouldn't say they can't. That would be an unnecessarily limiting assumption. But it does seem rather unlikely."
"<Not good with their paws, unlike me. They'd probably poison themselves first.>"

Milo watches the roasting rabbits with one eye and the worgs with the other: continuing to saying nothing, while lightly scratching Leg's back to help keep him calm.
With the beast gone, Drace happily chomps on the meat. And if nothing else occurs, he goes to sleep (having already distributed the day's healing in the morning, I believe).
How do I work the HP for my mount, including the bonus hit dice? Roll it?
Drace prepares his belongings for the party's departure. Where do we go now? Highness, you and Kern seem the only ones to know these lands, so I'll await your decision on how best to reach the dwarven realm from here.
Kern shrugs, wrapping up his spellbook. "Well, we ought to thank our hosts. Perhaps we can ask after the shortest route to the other side of the mountains as well."

Rolling HP for the horse. Assuming they get the first one at max like a character, let me know if this isn't the case and I'll roll one more.

Yeah, first maxed. And skill work just the same, except they have other skill set. Same for feats.

The matriarch comes right in the moring. "I hope we may meet again, you're valuable allies. Also, be wary of the elementals guarding the inner maze, they move through mountain soil and sometimes they emerge here ny accident..."
"Thank you for the warning, Your Highness; we shall keep an eye out for them. Might you be able to advise us on the best route to the other side of the mountains?"

Hey guys, still on vacation. Just using my dad's friend's computer for a bit and checking up on things. Internet connection is kinda shoddy though. Just makin' sure we're still alive. :P
"I see. Well then, thank you once again for your hospitality. I'm sure we still have a long road ahead of us, so we should be on our way." Kern bows once more in farewell, then turns to the path ahead, picking out the highest peaks and orienting himself toward any apparent passes to the left of them.
"Aye, that ought to do. Shall we see what else this path holds for us?"
Spoiler
Suppose we'll continue on as we were and watch for crossroads, then.

You walk all day long, finding 2 road splits and choosing the left way both times... You also find it harder everytime to keep moving, as snow is growing deeper and the air is colder yet. The sun is slowly fading away...
DC 10 Constitution check to resist initial cold effects. Failure means a soft flu.
Yeah, it's pretty much the sissiest name possible. And for a reason. Whenever I finally introduce him, I'll make a decent-sized post doing it up proper. I still need to do the whole skill and feat thing, though, it just confuses me as to how that works with a creature.
Drace grins in the face of the whipping winds. Ha, I faced harsher climes than this when I was knee-high to a goblin.
"Well, 'tis certainly a colder clime than I'm used to. Not that the seas lack their chilly moments. At any rate, let's keep an eye out for shelter. This is only going to get worse until we reach the crest."

Con: (1d20+2)[11]
The mount gets 2+int skill points, class skills are any listed in the horse's entry. One base feat and one/3HD as usual.

Milo and Legs shiver slightly in the chill air, still not quite recovered from the fight with the worgs.
Fort Milo - (1d20+7)[21] Fort Legs - (1d20+5)[11]
With a shrug he joins the conversation. "Nope nope. Not much bad now: bad not till sun set. Need shelter soon. Maybe we do Lizard fight challenge soon. Warm there. Gold have now. More practice good too."
Spoiler
Current status:
HP: 19/34 (Milo), 14/19 (Legs)
Milo is 550 xp short of 4th level, so the training might be useful.
"'Only a little mountain,' was it? Hah." Luis sneezes violently, glowering up at the path ahead. "This trip is not improving my opinion of nature hikes."

Yeh, I remembered afterward, just thought I'd avoid double-posting. Con: (1d20+2)[9]

Let me know if monsters can have Diehard or not. If not, I'll take Multiattack instead.
Seeing his roguish friend growing ill, Drace decides to use his newfound connection with the celestial realms to call for aid. In his mind, he shines a light with a horse emblem into the sky, and summarily a majestic and magical steed appears in front of the party.
Then the beast addresses Drace telepathically, and he responds in kind (so no one in the group hears any of this, but feel free to read it anyhow. Just spoilered to avoid confusion).
Spoiler
<Ah, great. Another adventurer.>
The horse eyes Drace up and down critically.
<Nuh uh, no way. You need to lose some more weight before I tote your tubby self around.>
Drace is offended.
The audacity! Creature, you are to be my loyal servant, and I will not stand for such outrages being uttered while you are in my service.
<Then you don't want loyalty, you want blind, unquestioning obedience. Go get a skeleton companion. Or pal around with an orc, ha ha. Anyhow, whaddya want, that I had to schlep here from the Holy Land?>
Drace, still peeved, gestures to Luis.
You will carry my sickened friend until his strength returns to him, impudent dog.
<Dog? If you were riding a dog the poor thing's back would snap like a twig, Thunderthighs. I can remember when adventurers still used the word 'please'. Ah, the good ol' days. Just so you know, if your friend pukes in my mane, I'll throw him off a cliff.>
Drace is now quite outraged.
That's it! I will take no more guff from a supposedly holy creature. I demand to speak to your supervisor!
The horse rolls its eyes.
<My supervisor is a supreme being who has existed since before time. If he were to gift you with the brilliance of his direct attention for even a moment, your bowels would let loose, your eyeballs would melt, and your heart would explode in your chest. Still want to talk to him?>
Drace gives the animal a defeated glower.
Very well then. And what am I to call you?
<Your puny human tongue could never form the syllables and melodies of my true name. So come up with something foreboding and majestic as an alternative. Really sum up my innate power and toughness.>
Drace grins with cold malice.
Majestic and tough, huh? I dub thee..Penelope.
The horse starts.
<Penel-I'm male, you idiot!>
Drace's grin widens.
You don't like it, take it up with my supervisor. Oh, wait. I don't have one. I have free will. So suck it, Penelope!
<...Oh, it's on like Faerun.>
Drace, no doubt disturbing his companions with the instant horse and his subsequent silent conversation, addresses them.
I'd like all of you to meet my new mount, Penelope. A dainty little thing that I thought might help Luis until he's back on his feet.
He leans in close to whisper to Luis as he mounts Penelope.
"...huh. That's a new trick." Luis mounts the horse cautiously. "Penelope, is it? Thanks, I guess."
Kern glances up at the fading light and sighs, searching out the nearest small tree. "Looks like we'll not find shelter before dark, but if ye break us off some wood, I can dry it enough for a fire. Ought to help out those of ye that cannae stand the cold."
"<Not to mention the rest of us. At least there's no wind in here, but this fur was meant for swimming, not snow.>"
Spoiler
My inner pedant feels compelled to point out that your horse has one or two extra feats, and that that's an empathic link, not a telepathic one, but meh.
Oh, and I forgot to check for Bor. (1d20)[17]
