I'm kinda hoping it works out between them. It'll be interesting to see Matt actually caring for someone other than himself and it'll be nice see to Radic a little less uptight after some "Treasure Type O" much, much further down the line.

Proof that avataring standards in the Playground have reached an all-time low:
I was fully expecting Matt to dine-and-dash as well, though I'm not sure Radic will let him do it. There's really a ton of ways this date could end up, depending on how many perverted comments Matt makes and how he reacts to the expensive bill.
No matter how this date ends up, there have been hints showing that Matt cares about her more deeply than just getting in her pants. Radic, however, might not realize this. I want to see how their relationship evolves as a response to this date that may or may not result in the two of them getting kicked out of the restaurant.
As for where the overall comic is headed, I'm enjoying these small, refreshing breaks from the main plot. You're taking advantage of this pause in the main story to develop the characters. It feels a bit like filler, so I wouldn't want this kind of thing to go on too much longer, but I understand why you'd follow Lloyd's flashback, Rust's rise to power, and Janine's dark backstory with lighter, comedic strips.

So I've been away for a while.
I've also been trying to sort out my photobucket, so the fanart links are no longer valid. I don't have time right now to link in the right ones, but I think you can find them in my first in the Art Upgrade Project post... not 100% on that though. *
In the meantime, thought I'd drop this here. I did it for your birthday Coffee, but decided at the time it was a bit too rubbish to actually send you. In retrospect I think it's kinda cute. The whole "party" ought to be there, including the non humanoid members, but I may have missed someone in my hurry. Am not up to date on the strip, but totes planning on coming back.

Sorry everyone, Skyward Sword took up a lot of my time this week and I was gone all day today. I'm working on the comic right now but I'm exhausted; it'll be up tomorrow morning. In fact, I'm going to finish it before playing tomorrow!

He will absolutely hate himself over the course of the meal and the morning after, but such is the price to pay for looking manly on your date.

Are you kidding? This is Matt and Radic we're talking about. Either Matt breaks down and starts bawling like a baby from the heat, or he's in obvious pain but tries to tough it out and Radic is annoyed at his trying to be macho.
