No, no he did not.

"Pistols are fine as a sidearm and, if actually silenced, a close-quarter stealth weapon. But I expect you to be precise with rather more than just a pistol." The Operative heads to the Armory. There are weapons of several types. Not a lot, though. There's a lot of space here.

In terms of firearms, familiar ones to Warsh may include a CheyTac Intervention, a G36K, and an MP7. He'll also see some melee weapons, and a few attachment options for each of those firearms.

"I do apologize for the lack of options. Although I received a generous investment, I lacked the funds for a more considerable weapons cache. You're welcome to donate that PPK, though."

"Once I acquire a few more weapons, I'll consider doing so."

Warsh bluntly responds.

In simpler terms, he's not giving away a quarter of his personal firearms.

Weren't assassins supposed to supply their own weapons, anyway?

Meh. It doesn't really matter all too much.

"I'm fairly proficient with most of the weapons here."

"Why don't you set all the parameters of this test?"

Once Fade takes a seat, the Operative does so as well.

"First. Your ability to split yourself. It's useful, upon that we are agreed. Some people in this organization might not take kindly to it, though. I would request that you refrain from using it on these premises, with the exception of the training room. Is that possible?"

[Armory]

Normally, yeah. But the Operative figures that some members who didn't know about firearms will want to learn. Nexus is weird like that.

"There are two parts of this test. At the firing range, I'll expect you to make a reliable kill shot at at least seven hundred fifty meters. I also expect you to pass our assault course in two minutes at most."

[The Operative's Office]

"Well I don't really understand what you mean. My shadow is me it's not really a spliting it's more an extended self. I understand not to invastigate their Rooms and keep it near me, expect the fact that I need it. in worst case a invasasion inside our base. I hope that's what you meant."

Fade admits. If the operativ watches his shadow carefully he will notice that his form doesn't fit to fade not even in the smalest way.

"Sounds simple enough."

Warsh smugly crosses his arms.

"What weapon would you prefer I use?"

This will surely be diverting.

[The Operative's Office]

"Split, extension, it matters little. As you have said, keep it near you when within premises, and do not use it for surveying other members."

A blank membership form floats from the back to the desk, in front of the Operative. It slides to the side near Fade, where a pen is waiting.

"Fill that out, and we'll get to the next step."

[Armory]

"My preference among those is the G36K, with iron sights."

The Operative looks at each weapon. "However, it is not my choice."

[The Alexandrian]

"The Gewehr it is, then."

So saying, Warsh takes the Gewehr into his hands, brings the butt-plate up to his shoulder, and looks down the sights (taking care not to point it at anything important).

He'll then lower the gun's barrel and nod to The Operative.

"I'm ready when you are."

The Operative walks out of the Armory, gesturing for Warsh to follow.

[The Operative's Office]

The membership form slides over to the Operative, who inspects it. He takes the sheet of paper, and places it face down in a corner, on top of anoth similar sheet. The spectre stands from his chair.

"If you'll follow me, I wish to see your skills personally."

"Ok"

There is nothing that would keep him away from following since, well there is nothing .

The Operative leads Fade to the elevator that accesses the lower floors. In a few seconds, they're at the third floor. The Operative is still leading Fade to the training room.

"Now, I know your surveillance skills, but I want to see how you will fare in combat." He looks directly at a training dummy. Whack it! Whack it good!

[Armory -> Training Room]

It isn't long before the two arrive at the training room. As promised, there's a military grade firing range, with about a dozen or so stalls.

"Get set up, Mr. Warsh."

Warsh takes one look at the firing range and...

"Are you trying to instruct these men on how to shoot or how to get shot?"

[Training Room Fade]

Fade will hold one hand up where he chanells red Mana. With the other hand he points at the Dummy. And suddendly a ligthning will come out of his finger aiming for the Dummy. If hit it should have a hole in it. But maybe it has an iron core or if it isn't a plastik dummy as I expect.

"Like this?" Fade will ask when the Dummy got hit.

If the Operative could sigh, he would. "I assume you have a complaint." Well, he'll listen, but it better be good.

[Training Room - Fade]

The Operative looks at the neat hole in the plastic dummy that Fade aimed for. "It's a clean wound, but is there a less flashy method?"

"Yeah."

"Although ranges are traditionally setup this way, this way trains combatants to fire only while standing still."

"When they fall into that habit, you lose men."

"If there were more room to move around and the targets moved around as well, it might make a decent range."

And that's the truth!

Fade tries something different. he channels blue mana in his hands and then makes a waving gesture agains t the dummy. a near invisible edge flys through the neck and makes the Dummy headless.

...Okay, so it was good. And true.

"Your point is valid. Unfortunately, at this time, people will have to make do. As we gain more funding, though, this can happen."

[Training Rrom - Fade]

"Much better. Do you need to see your target to do this, or can it be done around corners." The Operative looks at the headless dummy. He would need some glue.

[Zefir]

[Training Room(With 2 o) - Fade]

"This one? No! The spell manipulates the wind to send out a very sharp wind that , as you saw is able to cut things. My shadow yould use these spells as well. even at the same time. Oh that reminds me..."

Fade's shadow creates a hole on the floor and out of the hole jump 4 strange metal constructions with birdlike heads. Myr's.

"I summoned these guys the first time I got this power. They are weak, well even a man with a stick could kill them. But they got a strange ability. They can rebuild another one, even if he only is desintegrated. maybe we can use them as dummys since the one you offered me isn't regenerating."

"Tell you what, I'll take care of it at absolutely no cost to you."

"I'm not one to complain about something and then not take any action to fix it."

A smile.

He's got The Operative's metaphorical back...

"The spell does increase your versatility, I'll give you credit. Especially considering that your shadow can duplicate it." The Operative looks on in interest as Fade summons his Myrs. "Perhaps they'd be useful as targets for ranged weapons. You can use them as distractions in operations, though." The Operative turns around, towards the exit of the training room. "If you'll follow me, I have a few last things to tell you."

[Training Room - Warsh]

The Operative gets a slow nod. "That would be appreciated. If you require any assistance, please let me know." He gestures back towards the range. "Right now, though, I simply wish to see precise shots. As if you were a designated marksman."

Hey guys! Eyes on the tiefling as he saunters into the bar! Hopefully Outsiders are accepted here, if not entirely welcomed. He makes his grand march over to the bar, acting as if he owned the damn place (which, in the grand scheme of things, he kinda does, sorta), and orders a drink. Probably not the right one, but from his attitude, it's kinda easy to imagine he expects any drink he orders to be the right one.

Quite a few of the bar's patrons stare at the tiefling as he saunters. Some with hate in their eyes, some with indifference, and others with a rather different feeling in mind.

The tiefling gets A Drink. Luckily, that happens to be the correct drink this time around. The bartender, as per usual, escorts him to the elevator in the back.

Gotta love that Infernal luck of his! These things always work out in the end, or so he's found.
Kal follows the bartender around and steps into the elevator.

And elevator zips down into the first floor. There's a desk in front of him, with a plain-looking woman sitting behind it, filling a couple of papers out.

She looks at Kal. "You here for a membership, or contract?"

Like 'plain looking' would dissuade Kal. The guy flirted with Anya, after all.

Kal leans on the desk, giving the secretary a Charming Grin^TM.
"Membership please!" He says, with all the chipper attitude he can muster. Hey, with the grimderp SRShat gritpeople that make up MURDER's current membership, someone has to be around to lighten the mood.

Jane points the way to where he ought to go, as usual. She's noticeably less shrill about it than normal, though. Apparently, a little kindness goes a long way.

Fade will leave the Myrs here in the Training Room they will find a corner or another place to waste as less space as possible.
