The coat will indeed cover the whole chair. The Operative realizes that he probably should invest in chairs that changed shape for whatever happened to sit in it.

The spectre decides to act like he's the one getting the deal. "May I ask at your abilities? How you accomplish your objectives?"

"I find the right weapon and I do the job." Teq says, holding the top of the chair absently and studying the faceless creature. "I've been called 'adaptable'. But I'm better off hurting people. No good at lying." He says this with almost bored honesty.

The masked spectre remains unmoving. Well, he had yet to find a real jack-of-all-trades, with the exception of Kal, who wasn't a member yet. He's somewhat pleased with this lack of any lying ability. That would make things easier for him in the future.

"So, if I'm correct, it'd be easy for you to learn how most weapons and such are effectively used." The Operative moves for once, crossing his arms on the desk. This was somewhat interesting.

[The Front]

A tall man walks in, wearing a dark blue cloak with the hood pulled up. Under it, he has on a dark grey t-shirt with long sleeves, and a pair of light grey pants.
He appears mostly human, with the exception of some nasty looking claws, and the fact that his canines are slightly pointed.

He walks to the bar, and attempts to pick the correct drink out of John's mind, while trying to look as though he's simply trying to decide what to order.

If he succeeds, he will order it.

[The Front] ->[Elevator] -> [Main Room]

Since John has no abilitys to counter this he will give him the drink and then lead the tall man to the elevator.

In the Main Room sits a secretary who has waited for him.

"Please take a seat in the waiting area."

While waiting another person walks through the rooms also passing the Main Room. It's a normal human sized person wearing only dark clothes. His body is fully covered by the clothes and only a small part around the eyes is visible.

The man will note his passage, and continue to wait.

After about ten minutes, the cloaked figure will walk over to the secretary/receptionist/whatever she is and say "Excuse me. I'm here for a membership, could you please tell me where to go for that?"

Jane Doe looks at the tall man, and points at the Operative's office. "Head straight in there."

Warsh faces the target, executes an about face, switches the weapon to semi-automatic fire, shoves it under his right armpit, reaches into his pocket and fishes out a small mirror, fiddles with the mirror for a minute, adjusts the Gewehr's orientation a smidgen, and squeezes the trigger.

Boom! Headshot!

That shot would have taken out the target's right eye.

And again!

There goes the left.

And five more times...

Each shot tears a solid hole through the target.

That's pretty cool! It looks like a smiley face!

The Operative looks at the spectacle with a clinical eye. Warsh was accurate, yes, but he is still less than impressed with it.

"That first shot would've been a probable kill. There was no need for six more shots to make some caricature." He still has that monotone, though, so it wouldn't seem that he's angry or anything like that.

"How quickly can you go to a new target between each shot?"

Peter facepalms when The Operative utters his first (and, as Warsh would insist, erroneous) point.

"You of all people should understand the way to properly kill people!"

"The most important thing in our line of work is kill confirmation. A bullet costs a few cents. A failure costs quarts of blood."

"Thinking that just because you shot the guy in the head once means he's dead isn't enough. You have to get right up there and shoot him again in the head, just to be safe."

"There are freaks in this world that don't die easy. I kill those freaks."

"Make sure that they are dead."

"Bullets can be bought and sold. Good men can't."

With that, Warsh tosses his pocket-sized mirror over his shoulder into the air to the left of the paper target. He spins around and flips the Gewehr into a ready position so that the butt plate is pressed into the pocket of his shoulder. The fine metal barrel swivels about. Soon, a bullet has torn a clean hole through the center of the paper target's face area (the bullet would have bored a hole through the bridge of the victim's nose). The spinning mirror is then shattered by the second bullet Warsh lets fly (long before it crashes to the floor).

The Operative remains patient. He certainly did see the point of confirming a kill with another bullet. "That would be why I said probable, not confirmed. Another bullet in the brain stem is acceptable. A total of seven is not." He's all about efficiency, even in seemingly meaningless trivialities.

The ghost watches as Warsh shows how quickly he can switch between his targets. "Impressive. I think you've proven your skill with firearms. Do you carry a knife?"

"I'll carry a combat knife on me in battle."

"For more delicate matters, though, nothing can match a good piano wire."

Warsh reaches down and rips a patch of canvas off of his jeans revealing a KA-BAR Mark 2 (combat knife, Army) and a short garrote wire strapped to his lower right leg.

Nice.

"Good selections, Mr. Warsh." The Operative would prefer a good ice pick, but he's a torturing kind of guy.

"Now, all that's left is a simple run through our assault course. I think you can get through it in... two minutes, at most." It's a military standard assault course.

Warsh will fly through the course and finish it in the time it would take for the top 3% of Rangers to complete the course.

It should be pretty darn fast.

The ghost has brought a piece of paper down from his office. It floats near Warsh's hand after he completes the course.

The tall man will see a ghost, in a combat uniform and a gas mask, sitting at the desk in the office. "I understand you seek a membership. Please sit down."

How resistant is he to psionics? Because the Operative is trying to read his mind and get his name.

"A sword. I got paid with it after wiping out a cult on one of the Earth alternates." Teq elaborates, flexing his mandibles for longer words. The giant rolls his hand in a vague gesture. "Stab a god, it'll work just as if you'd stabbed a human. Good for breaking enchantments, too."

The spectre would be closing his eyes in thought, if he had any. Instead, he just looks like he's staring directly in front of him. "That would be useful, if we ever needed to kill a god, which I'm fairly certain we might, here in the Nexus." He tilts his head downwards a little. "Allow me to ask if you'd be willing to join the organization full-time."

"Well, then. Since you were able to contact me psychically, I shall use that as proof of your skill." A membership form floats from a bookshelf to the desk. "If you'll fill that out."

Teq draws a pen - his own pen, and a chewed one by the look of it - before beginning to fill out the form.

The form slips out of Teq's hand and into the Operative's (sorta.) He looks over it for a few moments.

"I believe everything is in order." Another pice of paper floats to the desk, smaller than the form. "That has your room's location, and the key to the door's lock. I'll let you know when a contract becomes available, though you're welcome to continue your search."

(He's fairly resistant to psionics. The Operative probably can't get his name, but if he asks, Rael would stop shielding for a bit. It's also going to depend on how good The Operative is at this kind of thing.)

The tall man will sit in the chair across from The Operative, and say "That's correct.".
