Speaking for Praetus, he'd kinda rather you didn't
But if you feel it necessary, I shan't be too offended, it's not like you're using psychic abilities while we're traveling through the warp....
So I should post Lilitas' action then? I'll get to it.
EDIT What would the modifiers be for trying to get a shot from her grenade launcher behind that barricade out of curiousity?
I'd say a flat -20% to hit as you're looking at a precision drop behind the barricade. If you miss it'll still scatter however. If you aim for the roof above them there is no penalty as you can see that clearly.
Wowser... that's going to sting for Marcus and the Arbite
As they get 6 hits each!!
rolling damage for last 2 hits
Enforcer (1d10+3)[8](1d10+3)[12]
Marcus (1d10+3)[5](1d10+3)[8]
These hits will go
Head - Arm (L) - Body -Arm (R) - Body - Body
(Marcus is happily in cover for the Arm (L) and Body with initial cover of 8 though that might diminish!)
Wow... Sorry rb780nm that was a vicious shot! I'm sure you'll be able to get revenge in short order never you fear
I didn't think that my 4 mook heretics would have survived for this long. Though the dice roller does seem to favour me rather than the players so far.
Its now the Player's turn to wipe the floor with the heretics
heretic 1 - taken 9 wounds
heretic 2 - uninjured and in melee
heretic 3 - taken 3 wounds and in melee
heretic 4 - taken 11 wounds (Crit+2) - is in pain
As you're all worked together if you shout out to Praetus it will only be a -10 for shooting into the melee. While in melee they only have their legs covered so their body is now exposed.
Ouch! That will one will sting if he doesn't dodge...
Which of the 4 were aiming you for?
Or at least a melee/ non-melee one?
Lor would have shot at with the following rules:
1) Unengaged targets first
2) Targets who previously dodged (which is probably moot if he's going first)
3) Targets he previously engaged / wounded
4) Any available, unwounded targets (see he wants to finish off his own targets first, but will usually not attack someone else's ... he sees it as 'professional courtesy' )

The guy you've shot was in melee so I thought #1 was the bigger threat as he was hosing Markus brutally. Until you blew his head off that is!
Could Praetus please make an agility test!
Agility test for Heretic 2 (1d100)[23], 3 (1d100)[18] and 4 (1d100)[27]TN 34 -- obviously the blood splattered away from them!
See? We don't need to launch grenades, their skulls work fine...
(1d100)[24] vs 35
@Starbin: see what happens when you stop readying an already ready weapon? Also statistically it would be abnormal if numbers did not occur in groups, we just tend to remember the 1's and 100's the best for obvious reasons.
So um about the damage I just dealt... Does that count as two possible Righteous Furies? Regardless current damage is 13 PEN 2 Confirming RF #1: (1d100)[86]
Extra damage for RF #1: (1d10)[4] (1d10)[1] (1d10)[10]
Confirming RF #2: (1d100)[83]
Extra damage for RF #2: (1d10)[9] (1d10)[10] (1d10)[9]
Figures. 13 damage Pen 2 it is. Don't have hit location table handy unfortunately.

Thank ye olde gods for telling me about that. I could have been over-readying my weapon the whole time!
And yes, being able to reproduce the exact same number multiple times is supposed to be an indicator that your 'randomness' is indeed random. Of course, it could also indicate your generator is faulty, too ... that's what I love about it!
I guess I need to remember that 43% of all statistics are made up on the spot ...
Nice round, team ... show 'em what we do to muties!

Quick a few quick questions about the Deathwatch characters, figure I'll get them out of the way here and now. Mostly regarding scout armour, what with me running a Wolf Scout.
Can Ivar use the Deathwatch Scout Armour from Rites of Battle? It's basically the same as the bare-bones rules in the main DW book, but includes rules for things you'd assume would be in the normal suit, like AP5 on the legs and watered down versions of certain systems from the Power Armour.
Can Ivar requisition a Camo-Cloak? They show up in RoB as well, with the same effects as they have in DH and RT.
Could Ivar's PA History be applied to his Scout Armour?
How would acquiring Scout Armour, of whatever sort, be handled? It has no listed requisition cost, so is it just assumed that any marine with reason to need a set has access to one?

1. Yes you can. I've got a copy of Rites of Battle now so people can use kit from that.
2. Yes you can. I've got RoB so happy for everyone to use equipment from that. This also applies to the Power Claymore/ Falchion when you have the renown.
3. No. Scout armour isn't special enoough to have its own personality, or sophisticated enough. Keep the roll though as Ivar may sometimes want to wear his power armour.
4. Yes. You can always swap your PA for scout armour. But occasionally you may not want to. Its up to you.

Metanovia on the DH side and certainly Wolfe on the RT side. Though others players can feel free to pootle around the ship as you exit warp space. There are things that the players can do to boot auger array and stuff like that. Or just give thanks that you didn't all die in the warp
I am amused that your 99 still passes!
Also on the bridge you should be asking Holt to check the sensors... He's the only member of RT team with scrutiny as a trained skill.
If not the crew (competency 30) will do it.
Well, I've noticed there are a few characters with skills in the 70+ (and a couple of those are 89-99 lvl). So when I look at my character sheets, I'm feeling a little under par - are those high scores the norm, or just the product of good character building? Cuz if I'm the Abby-Normal brain here, I hope I don't feed everyone's soul to the Great Devourer with an ill-timed, poorly delivered sermon from a low Imperial Cult roll!

I've noiced that as well, and on a couple of other RT game's I'm involved in on the forum. My characters are never as good it seems. I think some people just specialise and so 20 goes in on stat, then 1000xp of starting xp goes into for the 4 advances and all of the life ath options boost it... Just means they are less good in other areas, I wouldn't worry
Yeah, Victris is pretty heavily specialised, in pretty much the way DrK said.
So I wouldn't feel bad about not rocking the same sorts of numbers as he does within his specialisation. After all, you haven't seen how terrible he is outside of that specialisation.
++I'm getting a warp impression from something in the nebula. The psyker I sensed earlier seems to be located there. Maybe there's a ship or a station there?++
The point that mikhael is looking at is in fact the yellow orb that is Morwen VI. Though to be fair, without the auger array and just looking by eye he won't know that.
Ok - ship to ship combat.... Mikael isn't much good at stuff, although I have the astropath actions from IttS:
Telepathic Jamming (if we think they've got an astropath, which they probably dont, they're in their home system)
Well, although this is a very metagame-y idea and so is one that we're not close to acting upon yet, the 'xenos implant' suggests a possible genestealer infiltration and genestealer brood minds communicates telepathically - so it could be more useful than you might think.
Also, given that there' a whole lot of ordinance coming in our direction, might we use the rules that didn't quite make it into the book for shooting down torpedoes/bombers with weapon batteries?
