oh, that dungeon was NOT so simple to overcome. You could have tried... but those who did go in were about that level of preparedness. Some of them died.
You THINK such preparations are proof to traps, and maybe a stereotypical dungeon in your head is so weak, but Riz and I like to build dungeons where at least one thing can either see through invisibility or doesn't need sight to really mess you up. And spamming summoned monsters won't help you if they're too weak to actually do much to the opponent. Also gets kinda expensive if you have to spam too much. Also keep in mind that you can't pass through object while incorporeal that are more than 5' thick.
Yeah, I've read pretty much all the AVB threads now (Probably missed a few) and nothing was really that simple, It must have taken a lot of work to create a world that accounts for so many of the things PC's get upto. If you guys ever start this up again, or anything simliar, I'd be happy to help (Including helping with that online campaign setting idea if it's on the table.)
Only slightly annyoing thing about all of that is I never really saw much of the noble's quarter, and everything Rizban had planned out for it. Would have loved to see Ish, Perry, Rizban, and a couple of the other high level PC's getting involved in the politics above the politics.
well, honestly, that's part of the intrigue of that place. Only a few have ever gained access to it, and no one has yet to develop the clout to operate there. Two have come close, and Riz's character could have if he had wanted to.
It saddens me to say that I only found out about aldhaven shortly before it shut down. I hope this starts up again, because I really want to take part.
That guy who took over people's bodies was probably the best for the political side, whoever it was. I still would have liked to see someone grease that ambassador. Might be a one-way trip, but what a ride!
Thx!! Scribly is actually still alive and kicking, even though he's having mental issues. ... And while he's left the political intrigue for a moment, it's still haunting him.... Politics are lethal!

And it wasnt a noble actually... it was the primary candidate for a guild leader position kinda thing... so still very important but no Noble Quarter stuff... not yet anyway...

Is voice impersonation supposed to be covered in disguise/bluff? It always seemed to be a flaw in all those plots. I was thinking perform (acting) could be pretty useful in aldhaven.
