Keep in mind there is nothing stopping you from having test battles with your builds against one another in match threads of your own design (and feel free to use the same map, as long as you credit Scorer as the original creator and not me, because he's the source of it). However, also keep in mind this does put some of your character's more vital statistics on display to the world...though if they're dead that might not much matter. But don't tie it in to AVB or its Fighting Ring itself; da Plans says no, so I also veto.

She's my DM as well, and I was getting worried about her (because I, too, noticed that she'd not been on in over a week), Luckily, she seems to be alive because she was on yesterday and today for a little bit.

Wooh, only two months to create a character (though in my defense I was extremely busy with school and other pesky real life thingymagummies).
Anyway, while my character is done I do have a question on Shiftweave (MIC133). If you use it to change into a courtiers outfit will it give you the jewelry required to not look like an out-of-place commoner as well?

Hmmm, kinda expected that already. Would it be okay for the jewelry to morph along if I added the price of the jewelry to the base price of the shiftweave?
That is doable... not a huge stretch to consider the magic affects them assuming you have purchased them.... just as long as you dont try to go from the jewels of courtiers to the jewels of royal that would be okay.
So you can "immitate" jewels up to the actual value of what you have but not more (or rather you can try but the result for those that can tell one jewel from the other would be that they can tell them as cheaper immitations).

Ok just letting you guys know for at least tomorrow won't be on. Well went to the doctor about my leg sent me to an Orthorpedics doctor. He isn't sure what it is as to whether it is a tumor, infected lymph node, parasite, ruptured hamstring, or something else. So is sending me to a specialist at UAB to have it checked out. The Specialist is supposely real good one of the best doctors in the US so not too worried (except for cost even with insurance). So letting you know not likely won't be on for a day or two starting tomorrow.
So yea as the message says going to be getting tested. On the bright side think it is getting better (I think). Doesn't hurt to move and can walk just fine... or that is just the Lortab and Flexeril working. Though all things considering think the mass is getting smaller.

I've loved playing under Jeriah - she's a good DM, and she's given me a good time. But I know she has a lot on her plate right now, both irl and on these message boards, and I'd like a somewhat faster-paced game.
If curious about my leg it was a small muscle tear in the tendon area of one of my left hamstrings. The Doctor operated on me a week ago repairing it, taking a sample to test to see if pathogenic, and removed a few hematomas (blood pockets). Recovery from my first surgery hasn't been fun, but am getting better. I am now at the point starting to get more mobile. To give idea of current state just standing for five minutes has same effect as running a mile in eight minutes.
So not in a hurry to get started though hopefully in a week or two as soon as finished getting approved. In two days my b-day so if can start then even better.

hey, guys, sorry for disappearing for a week without notice.
However, this isn't a "I'm back" post, this is a "why I left" goodbye post.
Riz and I have been doing AVB for over a year and a half, and it's been a great ride, truly, and I don't regret anything I've done with it. However, last week I came to realize that I was continuing to do AVB because I felt obligated to do it, not because I was enjoying it. There are two notable exceptions to that, but otherwise, I realized it was something I wasn't truly enjoying doing and was just something I did because I'd been doing it forever. So I quit without warning or any explanation.
This was me apologizing for not giving notice and an explanation.
Thank all of you for such a wonderful time and I was glad to be a part of this, but I'm going to end my involvement in it while I still can like it. It's been a crazy ride and worth every post, but I've reached a point where I'm quickly running out of steam.
Thank you for your explanation, but thank you most of all for your time, and for your mind. Some of my best RP experiences were helmed by you and/or Rizban, and I can't think of much for which I'd trade them. As sad as I am to see you go, I'm even more glad to have spent this time with you in the first place.
Whatever you go on to do now, I think that you've built good something here. The A:VB game has grown, under your hand, into something magnificent, something alive in its own right, and it shows no signs of slowing. I'm not sure what you set out to create with Assassins vs Bodyguards, or with the A:VB reboot, but what you accomplished is truly worthy of awe and wonder.
You've not gone unnoticed. You've not gone unappreciated. You will be missed. Thanks for everything, Planswalker.

I have to admit that I'm done too. I've been doing this even longer than planswalker, by about two months. I've been halfheartedly trying to get the wiki updated and keep things going along congruent paths across all the DMs, but even that's stopped in the past few weeks. It's just drained me completely, and I'm just tired of doing all this work for a game I'm not particularly enjoying anymore.
I hate to see this game die, but at the same time, I don't see how it can continue to be the same game with both planswalker and myself leaving. I'm not going to tell any of the current DMs to stop running their current players if they wish to continue, but I would greatly appreciate it if no one picks up any new players or uses the AVB name. We've worked hard to build this game, and I'd like to keep the game name reserved to us as something we ran.
I'm also seriously considering (and semi-seriously working on) making Aldhaven into a campaign setting and publishing it online. However, that's a very big project and not something that I'm going to be doing immediately.
