+2 ranks Knowledge (Psionics)
+1 rank Concentration
+1 rank Intimidate
+1 rank Diplomacy (+2 synergy bonus from Sense Motive)
+1 rank Sense Motive
(+2 synergy bonus to Psicraft from Knowledge [psionics], forgot from previous level)
+1 base saves in Fortitude and Reflex
New Feat: Illithid Legacy (gain Psionic Charm and Read Thoughts as bonus powers known)
New power: Psionic Suggestion.
Before I pick my last new power, I have a question, mucco: What's your stance on retraining, as described in the Player's Handbook II? If I'm allowed to retrain a 1st level power for something new, that would effect my choice of my final 2nd level power.
Another Edit: I'll pick up Inflict Pain as my second new power, but my previous question on retraining still stands.

@zimmerwald: Otrino doesn't remember anything peculiar that might help him identify the dragon type.
@CTP: retraining is disallowed unless some player proves to have made a big mistake; even then, it will require some sort of quest. The power Psychic Reformation is banned, in case you were planning on using it in the future.

Aw, man, if you disallowed retraining Psychic Reformation was my other plan, assuming we ever made it to that high a level.
Is there no way I can persuade you otherwise? Several of my first level powers will quickly grow obsolete. I was planning on picking powers that were 'better' versions of them, or at least in some ways similar, to represent Melchia's evolving psychic power. For instance, he just got Psionic Charm, which is in most ways a better version of Attraction. Sure, Attraction can do slightly different things, and it would be one of the powers that would at least retain some usefulness for a while, but Psionic Daze and Disable are going to be almost useless in a few levels.
I guess I should have asked about this when I was initially joining, as getting rid of flavorful-but-less-useful powers was part of the plan all along.

Hrm. Yeah, Psychic Reformation is a ban for me because it makes Psions really close to T1, and Psions have little problems in reaching their full potential - contrary to wizards and especially clerics.
Would you be ok with being able to swap one power for another at every even level, starting from 4? Just like martial adepts.
Also, waiting for you guys to go to sleep - or do nighttime adventuring! Yay!

That sounds good to me; just like martial adepts or sorcerers. I won't feel so bad about picking flavorful powers I wouldn't otherwise choose for most psions. I'm trying to stick to a strict theme with Melchia's powers.

Pet peeve: the distinction isn't between casters and melee. There are at least twothree axes of distinction: melee and ranged, and caster and martial., and focused vs hybrid.
I think it's just easier to list the main 3 rather than say 'at least 2'.
I read through the thread, but I still can't remember why we're actually going to the Black Guardian, which makes coming up with something to have Selia to say pretty difficult.
Summary of the plot so far: chasing a noble's son around, you found this priest who said he was cursed by a witch. You tracked down the witch's village, where Rubido got married and the elder told you about the Guardian, and that he might know something (page 15 of the IC thread). So you decided to go meet this guardian and on the way you met the voice in the wood.
In the meanwhile, this "Horatio" has already tried to kill you twice, and now you hold captive one of the minions he sent at you.
