Re: Shadows of Anmer OoC
It has been...a very weird last week for me. My bad about the not posting. Somebody was having a messy break-up and got me involved against my will.

Breakups are never fun... especially when you get dragged in.
I hope you're ok!
EDIT: also, I'm pushing you forward right now. Tell me here if it becomes annoying!

Re: Shadows of Anmer OoC
You used blood. Blood as a plot device is always forgivable...in those amounts at least.

Re: Shadows of Anmer OoC
Going to have to roll the tie between the guys and Selia.
Selia: (1d20)[2 ] , (1d20)[18 ] , (1d20)[20 ] , (1d20)[8 ]
N1: (1d20)[1 ] , (1d20)[2 ] , (1d20)[6 ] , (1d20)[2 ]
N2: (1d20)[12 ] , (1d20)[13 ] , (1d20)[18 ] , (1d20)[17 ]
N2 -> Selia -> N1 it is.

Arg. I keep forgetting to say what I actually do, rather than just describing it.
I used Inspire Courage again, so +1 to attack, damage, etc.

Re: Shadows of Anmer OoC
I'm sort of at a loss here.
Zombies are immune to all of Melchia's powers, and he's ill-equipped to go down into the well himself.
He can fire with his crossbow, but if it is indeed a zombie, he'll only do damage on a roll of 6-8, and at the very best he's taking a -4 penalty to firing at it to avoid hitting the child.

Re: Shadows of Anmer OoC
Yep, you're disadvantaged when it comes to undead. You did solve the other encounter, though.
You could help with the rope, or maybe find some oil and pour it down. It would make it easier for the child to escape that creature. then maybe you could throw a candle in to make it burn, once the child is safe. You could explore the nearby hut for useful tools. Get creative!
In the meanwhile, the other two should take some other actions in theory...

Well...how wide is the well, exactly? I've been picturing a really narrow thing that would be all but impossible to fit down, much less fight in.

No, that's bad. That means a slashing weapon is needed to beat the DR.

I wonder what will become of that zombie trapped at the bottom of the well? Maybe we should come back with a bunch of oil and roast it.

Re: Shadows of Anmer OoC
As much as someone in the secret tunnel intrigues me, is there any valid in-character reason why we would choose to retrace our steps? Why wouldn't we just walk back into town?

Re: Shadows of Anmer OoC
Ooh valid point. I can make up several.
If you prefer you can get back in through the front gate. However, it's probably more dangerous because of goblin raids, plus it's pretty far and and tunnel is much nearer, with very little exposure outside of the forest. On the other hand, the closest gate still means you have to walk a bit in open field and goblin squads might be wandering about between the low hills.
I didn't even think you would take another way, feel free to redo if you prefer.

Eh, seems fine to me.
Now, the question is, what to do...Selia has Ghost Sound , but she's cast all her spells, so unless we camp out in this tunnel(which would be hilarious, especially if the guy finds us), I've got nothing.

I'm...kind of at a loss here as well. All I can do at this point is to kick the door down or listen or something.

I'm ready to return Zadsa to his home and rest, etc.; just generally ready to move on to the next scene.

So that's 30 PP each? Hmm... what to buy? Or should I just save it for a rainy day?
How are we doing on XP?

I have had a metric ton of work to do these past few days. School is a pain sometimes. I'll try to have at least a short post up today if I Can.
