that's a very, odd realization. To say the least. Funny strip nonetheless!
Though I must say I really love how you made the hand spell, it looks like a well made hand rather than a cartoon glove!

That's really cute, I love Peanuts! I'm almost tempted to up the Peanuts resemblance on purpose now...

Here's strip #15, where the team finally starts to come together! I'll be putting a Cast section on the first page at some point today, now we're starting to sort who's important from who's unimportant.

Question:
In panel 6, it's not exactly clear - in what order are Gina and Tonic speaking? if Gina is talking first, try moving Gina's bubble to the left, since it's read from left to right.
If Tonic is speaking first in panel 6 - why is she telling her to shut up if she didn't say anything?
EDIT: answered, nvm. didn't notice that - Thanks Savannah V.

I'm not sure if "spectacularly" begins to describe it. nice cast page!

No, no, she's quoting the monk. He broke his vow of silence to say "Shut up! Shut up! Don't you ever shut up?!" (see the quote marks in the speech bubble?)

Huh...so the Bacchae people are demon-possessed. It all makes sense now!

..Incedentaly, are they related to Bacchus, and if so, how did a Greek god become a demon lord?

I really find the idea of DnD Bacchae to be very confusing. It seems to be that they're not evil, that they have thoughts and feelings, but people can be 'cured'. But what happens to the Bacchae-self? Presumably they're capable of having friends, they certainly have homes and emotions and relations. But they become nothing, not even an afterlife awaits them.
Sure, it might be that a Bacchae is the person just acting on their worst desires (like basically bacchae-ism is just like being in a drugged state), but even absolutely lawful people can become Bacchae. You get turned into a Bacchae by partying with them.

It's a strange topic, and obviously bacchae-ism is going to be an important topic for the characters in the comic.

Here's strip #19, which I was meant to upload yesterday. I'm changing the update day to Monday for the future, though, because Tuesdays are just awful for me now!

Seeing tonic perform while Oak and king sing along looked so much fun!
Kinda got me thinking - how come the bards my friends make never really sing and/or dance... I oughta figure that one myself someday...

Allthemore amusing! Ill be rereading and forcing the party bard to perform thanks to you, Oppolo!

Apologies for missing an update last week. I'm now living waaay off in the countryside, in a land where there's no internet at all. I can only get online when I travel, like now!
Unfortunately, the library connection I was using last week decided to ban imgur because it had a naughty picture on the homepage. But it's working again now so I can upload!

You'll have to excuse my use of ellipses... I just really like them. And yeah, Tonic's naming scheme is intentional. Slightly less obvious is that her friend is named Gina, so together they're Gina and Tonic (like Gin and Tonic).

Here's strip #22, where I got bored of the fact my characters had been stood in a field for AGES

love the last couple of panels, and I agree with Forrest, if our party member made us take a complicated route like that, I'd be pissed too to find out it was redundant (I probably would've said something like "all those skill checks... and for what? to think I wasted a natural 20 for that balance check on the dongers...")

I think I know what you mean, his arms don't fit right in certain poses because of his broad shoulders. I'll be more careful with them in future!

Forrest doesn't want Fern inside at the moment, and Tonic is already inside the house so doesn't have a say in the matter.

glad you noticed that, although I didn't neccesarily mean that... maybe instead of making odd "bear-hug"-like poses(as seen in #23, panels 2 and 6,) consider checking how it'll look if you maybe gave him a more-standing out shoulderwise torso shape, like the humble (semi-?)symmetrical trapezoid, or simply add shoulders to his body, take Roy(oots) for example, he has shoulders, seen from his shoulderpads, and the arms are not as much connected to the usual spot, but rather connect to the new shoulder location. I'm not saying Forrest needs shoulderpads, just saying relocating the arm spots to a more comfortable and pose-photogenic location may help. [/spitballing]

what I did mean, though, is that I never seen Forrest smile broadly like that he does in panel 2 (well, maybe if we were to see him on picture day, idk...) and (Though I may be the only one thinking so) small grins(like in panel 6, but lower-placed) and broad fang smiles look more like him. [/mindspeak]

of course, I am a bit sad for Fern, she has the hardest time there, she doesn't fit in well :pity:
