Gerard heard hushed rumors of murders in the streets and graves being robbed in the night. Something decidedly odd was occurring on the streets of Paris. Perhaps a clue could be found among the tomes of the library attached to The Great University of Paris .

A young gentleman was walking apparently aimlessly down the streets of Paris. He was very well dressed and his posture told of nobility. He stopped abruptly in front of The Paris Opéra as if that was his intended destination all along. After looking up and down the street to make sure nobody was following him he entered the majestic building.
