I have ambition nemisis at 16. To do more things at the Grand Sanatorium I need running battle 9 and dangerous something. Does anyone know how much dangerous is needed? I don't want to go to back to that tomb colony only to find that I need a higher dangerous score and I just wasted some actions going there.

Certainly it looks interesting. And it seems to tie in with what we've just uncovered in the Mysterious Affair of the Box.

Thank you! That was...well, that was quite a surprise. :)

Before we launched the Kickstarter, my total guess was it was 25% likely we wouldn't be successful, 50% likely we'd manage the $10,000 we wanted, and 25% likely we'd do a bit better (maybe $20K or so). It was in no way a sure thing! The generosity and support people have shown has absolutely blown us away.

Now we're trying to come up with the coolest stretch goals we can. :) The first two have already been hit - a live online chat for backers to talk to characters from Fallen London and the Silver Tree, and a backer-exclusive story arc. We should be announcing more soon.

Yasmeen's already hard at work on writing The Silver Tree. She's been telling me about some of the stuff in there and it just sounds great. She's got such a unique voice, and I think this is going to be something really special.

GnomeGninjas: To get the key to flute street, I need fate, though there might be some other way.

Everyone: What are good ways to increase connected, The Bazaar?

Once you've helped out the Glim Sculptor, you have the option to purchase a key to Flute Street with Fate. Only Fate though.

No other way of getting it.

And when did Connected: The Bazaar get implemented? I don't think I've seen that one.

Your best bet is to ascend the reliables list of Mr Pages. Be wary of having it get too high if before you've received a letter fron the Masters if ou're seeking the Name.

Can't remember the fate cost I'm afraid.

How high is too high? I think I have it at 3 currently and haven't started seeking the name, though I am unaccountable peckish.

If you want to Seek the Name, I would advise against raising it any higher until after you've received their letter.

Seeking the Name is one of those paths that EB doesn't like people discussing overly, mostly because every step along it does progressively worse and worse things to your character. Every step you take you will be warned that going further is a Bad Thing. The Letter from the Masters is one of the earlier steps, so isn't too bad, but it's costly, and takes a long time to recover from. The higher you C: the M, the longer it'll take.

I have ascending the Reliables list of Mr Pages 3, and have had it as such for several weeks, in not months now. I have watchful of 109 unmodified, I have no idea how you start Seeking the Name. I lost my connected masters at the battle of the wolfstack docks. Is it a event that starts seeking the name, and do I need a attribute at a certain level to get it?

IIRC, You'll need a high level of Death by Water, and a certain level of Unaccountably Peckish. One of the Nightmare cards will then give you the option to begin Seeking it.

If you have a twitter account I'm sure that you could ask one of the Masters for advice.

I believe there are several ways to begin Seeking the Name, some easier than others. I've actually started Seeking accidentally once before, although I heeded the Masters' letter when it arrived.

...Hmm, maybe I'll start Seeking for real now. I've run out of things to do and haven't even played in a while.

...Is there a way to get rid of the orange StoryNexus bar at the top of the page? It's very distracting.

So I just got PoSI a week ago, and man does this game transform! I've done a bunch of minor storylets through to 'completion' (i.e. I have a lot of gold storylets in the side streets with some very high costs!):

Finding it hard to prioritise my next actions though:

- finally get a 4 card lodging
- Work on my ship and start zailing (am on ambition: Nemesis, taken as far as it can go)
- Grind one of the affiliations
- Grind one of the companions
- Work the velocipede squad/Jack story

recommendations? Stats are a bit lopsided, but i can get +10-15 from items, and have around 250 echoes..

W - 138
D - 118
P - 91
S - 101

Okay, I'll try to increase unaccountable peckish and death by water.

I'm at the catching and breeding monsters for the bishop stage of the labrynth of tigers. To progress farther do I need to catch a certain monster and breed it the right way or do I just need to increase dangerous a lot? Or is it something else? I don't want specifics but could someone tell me what sort of thing I need to do?

You'll need the Plated Seal, caught at Zee. I can only be found when you're close to being lost at zee.

The Tomb Lion can be found while you're exiled in the tomb colonies.

The Rubbery Hound in Flute Street.

The Hyena is in the Labyrinth (2nd or 3rd circle. Can't remember)

If you breed all three (not including the hound), then catch all three, and breed all six then you can get a Bifurcated Owl I believe.

You can breed multiple at a time? I've caught the Hyena a few times but I'm mostly doing persaisive things, getting exiled, getting the lion and breeding the lion, I've tried a few different combinations of mushrooms, training and devil banishment though they've just gave me assorted items. I don't have a bort yet so I'm not sure how to get lost a zee.

I noticed something interesting this morning and am wondering if anyone knows why this is.

In the Flit, "The big one" storylet costs more actions to play, as do a few others I found scattered around. Does anyone know why this is?
