Sliverpine expression became politely neutral as he spotted Heartflight. "Oh. You," he said flatly.

Heartflight's gut clenched and she avoided eye contact, starting to walk towards the kitchen once again feeling terrible. She just couldn't face them, she was a coward and she knew it.

Mystic just frowns. Her voice slips back to Mary Elizabeth McGlynn's.

Alright, you know what, this is just stupid. Gearstride, Silverpine, Heartflight is sorry. She went overboard, it was uncalled for, and she knows it. We're supposed to be having fun singing songs, not holding grudges over having syrup being poured on us. Make up with each other, and get back to having fun like friends are supposed to do. She says crossing her front hooves and glaring at them with a stare that could make Celestia's mane stand on end.

Sliverpine raised an eyebrow at her words. "You do know you can't really force us to make up if she doesn't want to," he said in the same flat voice, locking eyes with her glare. He had seen worse, and being a coltly colt meant he had twice the bravado and none of the adult mellowness.

"I'd rather she not run away, instead of talking it over with us, that 'timid oh woes must run away behavior'... I'm not that sympathetic to it," Gearstride replied. She sighed and shook her head not really taking to Mystic's butting in.

"Thank you, good sir," she said formally, smiling a little at his choice of colours. It was obvious he picked out a blue umbrella for her. She held her umbrella open and waited near the door for him.

"Thou are welcomed milady," He bowed his head escorting her out. He shut and locked the door behind him. And so the pair made their way to the Grills and Gwyn Lovey Thread Bits or Credit Thread.

He'd beaten himself up once today over not being there for his friends, and he'd eat his nonexistent hat if he'd do it again.

But these are yer friends we're talkin' about; this is somethin' that's worth doin'. You stay here, an' ah guarantee you nothin'll come of it, an' you'll likely lose them. But if you go an' tell them what you an' I both know you're thinkin', then there's a good chance you'll set things right. In the end, ya'll got nothin' to lose by talkin' with them."

So, you're not going to accept her apology, even though she's clearly sorry, because she can't work up the courage to give it herself? Because she poured syrup all over you? That feels about as petty as holding a grudge over a mustache being drawn on one's face. So, in a sense, you're not ponying up and talking about it either. Mystic says, clearly grumpy.

And, just so nopony accuses me of being unfair.... she flies over to get two pitchers of syrup.

I invite anypony here to pour both of these all over me if they wish. she says, putting the two jugs on the ground. Don't worry Sweet Dreams, I'll clean it up. she assures her.

On the inside, Sandy was praying he wouldn't freak out this time. It was too late to back out now, he had already decided he was going to help this pony. He could feel a lot of fear from Heartflight, and that fear was starting to disturb memories. Memories of a time when he felt a greater fear inside somepony else, and anger, and...he shoved those feelings back and tried to stop them from growing further.

On the outside, Sandy kept up his gaze, trying to find something more in Heartflight's words and actions. "And ah can't let a friend of mine do this to herself when ah've still got something to say about it. Ah git yer afraid. Ah git yer anxious an' worried. Ah...ah know all too well how you're feelin'. Facin' somethin' you know's goin' t'be hard, an' it's somethin' you really should do, but every bone in yer body's tellin' you t'turn tail an' run 'cause it's not goin' t'be fun at all. Ah've been there."

"An' yer right. Ah don't git this, but ah sure as hay want to. Ah want t'know why you can't do this. Ah want t'be able t'help you. Will ya'll let me, Heartflight?"

Serilus yawned as he arrived back at the Civic Center. He trotted over to the kitchens and grabbed some food for himself and his friends. After eating a quick snack, Serilus turned to Melt and said "I'm exhausted after all that's happened today, so I'm going to head to bed... Yes, bed sounds nice. Good night Melt"

Serilus waved a hoof at Melt and (assuming he wants to come) headed back to his room with Akiiki. He set up a small bed on the couch for Akiiki to sleep on, before collapsing in his own bed and going to sleep.

Gearstride found herself first snorting at in her opinion were just blitherings. T-that Mystic just didn't understand. With a glower and burrowed expression she harrumphed and turned away.

Then Mystic's last words began to click in her mind. Slowly her expression morphed into one of startled realization. W-was she being just as cowardly? She wasn't confronting the problem either. It takes two to deal with a problem one has with another. The filly frowned and bit her bottom lip, ears lowered, an antsy feeling in her tummy. She was contributing to making Heartflight feel bad and not apologizing for it but she wasn't ponying up to it like any other case where she needed to apologize to somepony. Too busy being selfish about wanting Heartflight to pony up the way she wanted her to. Now she just felt like horse apples, big steamy piles of horse apples.

"Mmm, actually I'm going to go lay down in Silverpine's room, you lot have fun, ciao," The filly gave off a subdued smile and trotted off.

Fortunately for Serilus, the zebra baby is too sleepy to protest bed.He is easily handled and put to bed. "Ice creeeeeam."

Sometime in the middle of the night, Akiiki wakes up and crawls into somepony's bed.

During the second age-regression day, Akiiki causes the minor mischief a toddler does. He did force somepony to read him bed time stories and sing him a lullaby before he sleeps.

Sandy breathed a sigh of relief, glad that Heartflight had, in a very little way, overcome some of her fear. Finally, this whole incident was done and over with. It had taken a bit of doing (and some unplanned help from Mystic, but Sandy didn't realize that) but everypony was finally getting along and having fun...

One could count on both of gryphon's claws the amount of times Gearstride has ever felt the need to apologize and pony up up to it. Alas it seems that most of those times spent apologizing were spent here in Bridle Shores in the past two and something weeks she'd been here.
