Ashley looks over to Dani. "Let's get going," she says as she heads to the Starbane District.

Carrie smiles nervously at Quinn, looking at the area they're to observe.

[Abandoned Temple]

Inside, there are signs of recent occupation; there's fresh food in the kitchen, the storerooms have been disturbed, probably by whoever added the fresh crates, and the mismatched furniture is clear of dust.

[Starbane District]

The Starbane district appears to be set aside for newcomers, though there is a sizable population of merchants.

If they follow Karyana's directions, they'll arrive at a fairly nice inn with the name of "Starview".

"'Starview Inn'. Sounds nice enough," Dani chirps cheerfully, looking at Ashley. "How's about we go in and check it out? Case the joint!"

Quinn, noticing Carrie's nervousness, gives her what she hopes is an encouaging smile.
"I won't bite. I'm Quinn - Quinn Druid," she says, introducing herself properly as she frowns, noticing the fresh food, and going to check just how fresh - and what sort of food.

Ashley nods, also looking at the Starview Inn. "It's probably a better place to start than most." She goes over to the door, unless stopped.

Kevin completes the square and the spell. Now he should be able to use tremorsense to detect if anyone is approaching the temple.
Matthew scans the sky for awhile, then looks at Karyana and Zwei.

Nothing stops them from entering.

It's a fairly large room, with the same layout as Trog's.

The inhabitants are made up primarily of merchants, mercenaries, and people that appear to be pilgrims, though if either of them can tell, there are also several people that are most likely pickpockets.

She should be able to identify most of it, though some of the items are specific to this dimension, and thus are probably unfamiliar to her.

Those things she can identify, if she can't do that with the ones that are regional, are several loaves of bread, various kinds of fruit (some she can identify, some she likely can't), pork, beef, goat, and eggs the size of her head, in a cold-room (accompanied by some sort of scaled flesh).

No-one is approaching or leaving the temple, at this point, as Ashley and Dani have already arrived in the Starbane district.

"Pleased to meet you." Quinn pauses. And curtseys. "Champion of Neirian, Goddess of Pixies, Butterflies, and Death. And...I rather suspect these are dragon eggs..."

Dragon eggs? Jeez... well, everything looks fresh...

... Unless this is a trap. Poison and stuff...

Ashley glances toward Dani. "Let's just listen in for now. We should try not to attract too much attention."

After setting up his magical sensor, Kevin stands guard at the entrance to the courtyard, making sure to watch the sky.

Matt waits a minute to see what Karyana and Zwei intend on doing, then heads to the temple to check all of the rooms for people.

Is there any particular group they're listening to?

Karyana is making Blood Birds.

Dani nods, although the tiny redhead's broad smile and outfit will probably wind up attracting attention anyway...

But, for now, she listens! To everyone!


[Not-So-Abandoned Temple]

"I don't think it's a trap, but big eggs, scaly skin...that adds up to 'dragon' to me. Or maybe 'wyvern', but my money's on dragon," Quinn says with a frown, looking around for more Clues.

Ashley heads over to the bar, and listens to anyone nearby. She appears as inconspicuous as she can without using any illusions.

Carrie looks with her.

Are there any blue pawprints anywhere?

[Temple]

No blue pawprints. Though if they look in the boxes they find high-quality fabric, spices, and other things that are suitable targets for smuggling.

The rooms are currently empty of people, at least those that aren't Carrie and Quinn.

Kevin might feel around a dozen people, along with a few carts (and whatever is hauling them) approaching.

If she has good hearing, Ashley might eventually catch the name in a conversation between a couple of the mercenaries; they seem to be talking about one of them getting a new identity.

Dani may overhear something about using him to fence some sort of stolen goods.

Dani tries to poke Ashley in the arm and discreetly nod in the direction of the fencing conversation.

Quinn frowns and tries to get a better look on exactly what kind of spices are in the boxes.

There are a few pounds of saffron, an entire crate of ginger (which, growing in marshy areas, is much more valuable in a desert), and several dimension specific ones.

Ashley is poked, and gives a discreet nod in response. She tries to listen to the fencing conversation in greater detail.

"I'm telling you, Lannigan's the only one around here with the contacts to sell it."

"We don't need to take it to cas Trilok. It's just a statue. Why not sell it directly?

"Because it's only valuable to a collector; anyone else would give us a bad price, or turn us in. And we don't exactly know people that collect things like that."

"Yeah, but also for seasoning food," Quinn explains, looking at the local spices. "And coloring it."

The local spices include circlet root (as you can probably tell, it grows in a circle, and most are around head-size. It has no scent at this point, and is covered by a thick outer layer), sheets of some sort of dried sap (They smell of amber and sage), and what appear to be glands harvested from a large animal.

Ashley keeps listening, and starts to think of ways to use this bit of information.

They argue a bit more about it, but eventually decide to fence the statue to him.

The pair get up to leave.

After determining that nobody is in the building, Matt steps out next to Karyana and Zwei. Then Kevin approaches them. Company. Either a wagon caravan or a platoon of soldiers. Can't tell.
