It's note my favorite genre, but I can still enjoy it. If you are interested you could start with Leviathan and then move up from there. It's a pretty tame and average book, without many innovations.

Still, it seems the majority of the votes are for wild western.
Yep. Ok, here's the deal. The year is 1888. For whatever reason you are currently around a small Texas town. Characters may be built based off of 200 points, standard 100 points of drawbacks. Character may be from any background so long as they are conceivably able to fit into the time. Most likely only mundane abilities will be accepted, but if you REALLY want to play something else, ask and we'll see.

I feel that this campaign could be like the ''Tex'',the famous italian ranger comic book character.
Since the main villain in the comic is that magnificent bastard of Dickart, I think it would be AMAZING! Cowboys against an evil wizard and his demons? Can I get a HELL YES?
But, if we are going with something more mundane , then a bounty hunter should work just fine.

I have played GURPS before, however i do not have any of he books.
From the sounds of it, character creation seems very similar to HEROES for which i know how to make a character for.
Is there a public online resource I can use to create a character?
Or do I need to troll the unmentionable websites until to find a copy of the rulebooks? If so, what version?
Fatigue makes me wax philosophic and/or babble. If I've posted something strange and tangential, that is probably the cause. This entry would be an example.

Google "Gurps LITE" it'll bring you to a free PDF, which is the cut down stuff, it won't give you alot of choices though.

Um, is Fight skill supposed to be the same as Brawling?
Actually i don't know how it is stated in the american books. my books are all in portuguese,so i had to translate everything for you and the other players to understand .but i guess it is the same.

Ah, well my thing gives like 3 different skills for hand-to-hand fighting with slightly different bonuses.

I'm still here, but I must also admit that I'm a bit confused. In hindsight, how did we end up with a western? We started with an inclination for fantasy, then industrial revolution, then wild west. I for myself got kinda carried away with it, so now I ask: is this something that everybody would actually enjoy to play?

Truthfully I'd prefer either Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Post-Apoc, or either Modern or WW2 commandos, in that order, but I'm up for anything. I've just been having trouble figuring out what adventures to do for Wild West.
